Nice environment and experience! Had a blueberry martini (very sweet!) and the vegetarian hibachi dinner with fried rice. Had a very kind and talented chef, and the food was pretty tasty at the end. In comparison to other hibachi experiences I’ve had, the food here was lacking a bit in flavor and they do not offer udon noodles with the meal, so that was just a tad disappointing. I would still come back here, though, and I definitely enjoyed my leftovers the next day!

The food and service were great. They were really busy since it was Valentine’s Day, but I still think they did a pretty good job of turning tables without really making people feel rushed. They could definitely use better ventilation — it was really smoky when the chefs were cooking/making onion volcanoes and my jacket definitely smells like the restaurant now — and the floors were quite slippery.

Always amazing! Everything we’ve had has been fantastic. This time we had the Hibachi Steak, the Snake River Farms Kobe Ribeye, and an extra shrimp appetizer. Also recommend the Pineapple Whip or Blue Long Island to drink.

One of my favorite places to dine out in Fort Wayne. The atmosphere is amazing and the food is always delicious. I recommend the filet mignon. It’s awesome watching them make your food. The soup they give you in the beginning is delicious, as is everything I have tried here. If you like a drink with your dinner I recommend the Plum Wine or the Green Tea. Both are delicious.

10th Wedding Anniversary dinner yesterday. I had the Salmon (which wasn’t a choice on this review list) and Matt had the Steak. Cooked perfectly. Our chef was great. The people at our table were great. I had forgotten how foggy it can be in the dinner room due to the flat tops. We will be back!

We’ve been going here for years. We had a reservation like always, but 2 large groups without a reservation came at the same time we did. They served these people first and said they were short of chefs. We had to wait a long time for someone to even cook. Would have appreciated a free appetizer or something for the wait.

Had an amazing experience at Takaoka last night! From the moment we walked in, everyone was so kind and helpful. Our daughter was very nervous at first, but every staff member we interacted with was gentle and caring and helped her to enjoy it. We already loved going, but last night just felt extra special. We will definitely continue to visit in the future!

Been here multiple times, each meal better than the last. From being greeted to leaving the table, the customer service is incredible, hosts and bussers are knowledgeable, servers always do an amazing job, each cook has a great sense of humor and multiple skill sets under their belts, and to top the cake you get a show as your meal is cooked in front of you. Always a fantastic experience and I’ll never stop returning.
