Best sushi I’ve had in quite sometime! Even my 12 year old son commented that the food was “amazing”! My 8 year old devoured his beef teriyaki and my 7 year old loved the Katsu! Definitely recommend!

Looks like I will be coming here a lot more to sample things on their varied menu — good variety of rolls, more traditional Japanese restaurant offerings (udon, katsu, tempura, sashimi, sushi, etc.) and Korean (bibimbap – both cold and hot served in stone bowls; bulgoggi; etc.) Also a nice lunch menu. My first visit and impression was very favorable. 06/24/22 update – second lunch visit: ordered the chirashi bowl for $12.50. The sashimi was of acceptable quality but medium grade. Top grade fish would run you at least $10 more; so their chirashi is fairly priced but not spectacular. The bento box I had on the first visit was a better choice for lunch. Update: 09/05/22 – Takara is now one of my “go-to”restaurants — they have improved the lunch special bento in terms of presentation, and everything I’ve ordered is well prepared.

Amazing sushi. I’ve been going here for years and the quality is always top-notch. It does get very busy, but when it isn’t the atmosphere is calm. The fish tank is pretty cool. The construction of the maki rolls is always great, and to be honest it all tastes amazing. I would recommend the maki named after the surrounding towns, for example the Wellesley roll. The other food is good too – the tempura and beef bibimbap are delicious. Best sushi around.

We absolutely love Takara Medfield, we eat there all the time – take is out also good but nothing beats ordering and eating Takara in the restaurant, the service is wonderful! But the sushi is what it’s all about!!! SO good!

Food was pricey but we believe it was delicious, satisfying, and worth the price. I do believe that service and be improved in with making sure servers are asking if customers need drink refills instead of the other way around.

Took my family and in laws here for lunch with our 2 year old son. They were really friendly and accommodated all of our requests, even as my son was being quite…energetic! Really appreciated that. Great food, mix of Korean and Japanese. Will visit again!
