This was our first time dining at Takara. We didn’t have to wait for a table and the waiter was very nice and accommodating. We ordered the filet mignon and shrimp. The soup was excellent, rich and flavorful. We ordered the 4 piece sushi appetizer which was 4 pieces of nigeri.. 2 pieces of red snapper, one piece of salmon and one of yellowtail, very very good. However, when the chef came to our table to begin cooking he started with rice which had no flavor and there was virtually no vegetables. I got very little and most of it was broccoli and carrots, not the zucchini and onion that we all love so much. Also, both my husband and I ordered the filet and shrimp. The chef brought out 2 filets however, there was another woman at our table that ordered filet so my husband and I only got a third of the steak and we both only got 8 shrimp a piece for $30/per person. Very disappointing. The filet was tough and at the end of cooking it the chef put a blob of wet garlic on it that was way too strong. No shrimp appetizer and you get a choice of soup OR salad, not both. For what they charge I doubt we will be back.

This was the first time I have ever been to a tableside hibachi place. My husband’s family goes every Christmas Eve as a tradition. We didn’t get to go last year because of COVID. This was a fantastic experience and the food was delicious! I’m looking forward to coming back again soon. If nothing else we’ll be back next year for Christmas!

Had a family dinner here and absolutely loved it! There was something on the menu to please everyone. The food was fresh and well prepared. Staff was absolutely covering everything we needed. We had 15 people, and service and food was perfect.
