I enjoy this spot, the decor and atmosphere is chic and pleasant. I did a take out order from the menu, got two of the Chefs Special rolls that were delicious! The vegetable tempura was ok. The server was prompt and friendly.

Unique and tasty experience! Great variety of options on the conveyor. Rolls, sashimi, hot pot stickers, spring rolls, Rangoon, and an occasional piece of cake. You’re at the mercy of those that sit closer to the kitchen however… We got unlucky had had an inconsiderate group ahead of us at one point who took everything and left the conveyor empty. We did wait for drink refills for longer than I’d have liked. Other than that we enjoyed ourselves. Great atmosphere and decor. We’ll be back!

We have been coming to Takara for over a decade and the food, atmosphere and service have been consistently excellent. The recent remodeling looks wonderful. I always recommend Takara to my friends.

My husband and son have always wanted to go to a conveyer belt sushi restaurant, so when we came to Madison, we had to try it out. It was $35 per person for basic rolls and almost zero sides. The food was still good though. However, the shock came in when it came time to pay. They charged a 25% gratuity. When we questioned them on why they were giving themselves almost a $30 tip, they said it was normal and everyone gets charged this. I feel like this is something that needs to be stated upfront to customers. I was ticked. I planned to tip – just not that high for someone to bring us water and take plates from the table.

Friendly staff and good, fresh, reasonably priced sushi. Excellent weekday specials. All you can eat is a fun extra on the weekends if you like variety but I prefer my regular assortment of rolls and nigiri. A west side of Madison gem.

This was one of the most amazing sushi experience I have ever had! The AYCE deal was definitely worth it for the various types of sushi rolls that were put out. There were appetizers and even desserts on the belt!!! I also enjoyed the nice atmosphere and the friendly staffs. They really made sure that we were satisfied and happy which is a plus for me. This restaurant will definitely be one of my favorite sushi spots to go to now. No complaints at all!

Food was okay, place is open late which is convenient. Atmosphere is a bit sketchy.

This is a great restaurant to introduce someone to sushi, however, I would not recommend this restaurant to someone that enjoys exotic rolls, as there were only basic rolls to choose from.
