I ordered a wing basket and the fried chicken entree. People surely know how to fry some chicken around these parts. The fried chicken was good, but had wayyyyy too much salt in the seasoning. My Thai chili wings were horribly salty as well. That flavor isn’t even supposed to taste salty. The wings were fried so perfectly, so I was a bit saddened. The fries didn’t need the salt crystals that were topped upon them. My Mac n cheese wasn’t horrible. The sweet potato suffle, wings, and Mac n cheese all tasted better the next day.

I will start off by saying the food was decent and a very pretty plating. However, I’m not sure if the owners are family of not but the customer service is not the best. The way they speak to each was heard by my husband and me, we would request condiments several times that kept getting forgotten, and our drinks weren’t put on the check which caused our bill to be more than what was shown on the receipt. For me I give this location a 6 out of 10.

My kids came in yesterday for lunch and raved to me about how good it was. We decided to come in with them this morning for brunch, and let me just say, it was PHENOMENAL. From the amazing service, to the presentation, to the taste, everything was absolutely wonderful. 10/10 in every area, 100% reccomend coming in for a fantastic home cooked meal in a nice family environment. We will certainly be back!

Absolutely fabulous experience! I stopped in because I was working in the area and this did not disappoint. My daughter had the pork chops and greens and I had the chicken tenders with the Yum Yum sauce along with the mac & cheese. Everything was seasoned to perfection, not overly seasoned. Unfortunately, I could not eat my food before going back to work. I did not have high expectations because I knew it would be cold as I was planning on eating it on my way to the beach. Even cold, it was delicious!

Delicious, made to order food. We got fried chicken, chicken tenders, fries, Mac and cheese, and twisted potatoes. Everything was very good. The chef, server, and manager all said hi to us at some point and checked to see if our meal was OK. We also had peach cobbler 7 up cake, which was super moist and delicious.

The five stars are for real. A chef who gets food and a team who makes these dishes with love = one of the better brunches I’ve ever had. The monte cristo, fish and grits and biscuits and gravy were all outstanding. Also, the decor is super cute and welcoming, the people make you feel like family and every guest is oohing and ahhing at the food with us ❤️

I heard this place was really good. I read the reviews and they were really good. And after we ate had the food not been great I would have spoken quite plainly about it However…it was great. We had the catfish appetizer and we wish we had gotten two of them. I ordered the buttermilk fried breast and it was large, macaroni and cheese and sweet potato souffle. I asked for salt as I am a salt fanatic and the girl said it is seasoned perfectly try it first. I did not Need the salt. Mac and cheese was like perfect home cooking. Sweet potato very good. We will be back…and they have a brunch on Saturday and Sunday so we are aiming for that. That menu was not online. Oh everyone working there was wonderful. They haVe also been nominated for certain categories in the coastal magazine. Was a real pleasure to eat here.

I’ve been here twice so far (sunday morning breakfast). Do NOT sleep on the brunch menu here! The Monte Cristo French toast sandwich is absolutely to die for. The scrapple on the sandwich has been cooked to perfection all 3 times we’ve ordered it. The staff is always super friendly, welcoming, and really treat you like family. The interior is comfortable and familiar, appears to be painted by hand, which really adds to the amazing small business vibe, which I’m personally a huge fan of. Haven’t tried the rest of the menu yet but Chef Shy makes a mean breakfast. I just moved an hour away but I’ll be coming back here again!

Owner and staff were extremely friendly. Food was hot and delicious. If I didn’t live in Baltimore I’d be on my way there now for some more catfish nuggets, sweet tai wings, and salmon…lawd! Can’t wait to visit in a few weeks to have brunch.

The food, service, and friendliness of this place is ridiculously amazing! We walked in and were greeted with loving shouts of welcome like we were coming home. We were home! Love this place and will be back again and again. The catfish bites and shrimp and grits were amazing for Sunday brunch, and they kindly made a modification to meet my needs. Thanks Chef Shy and lovely folks who took amazing care of us.
