We are part of Portland’s Tasting Collective and taste food at many of the up and coming restaurants and this one stands out as Really Great! I don’t give many 5 stars but both the sashimi, Hassun appetizer and beef cheeks were amazing! Highly recommend you check it out!

Each one of the dishes at this restaurant has a unique combination of flavors. I liked it very much and would revisit it again. Please note that the portions are small so you may consider buying multiple items on the menu to satisfy your hunger.

Stumbled upon Takibi while looking for camping gear. You’ll know what I mean once you visit…

My husband brought us here for our anniversary. We found the staff to be all very nice and the food was delicious! Yes, portions are small but that’s kinda the point and everything was so flavorful! Final bill (4 food items and 2 drinks) came out to about $90, and it worth every penny!

I love restaurants like this. Great minimalist decor with a zen vibe and a simple delicious menu. I had it for lunch and dinner and all the dishes were good. My favorite was their grilled mackerel. Perfectly cooked and simply seasoned. The only thing I thought was totally overpriced was the Asian barley tea that was $5. I mean you can get a whole bag of that stuff at a Korean market for $5. But happy to pay for the overall dining experience. I would definitely return here and bring others with me.

Great authentic Japanese food. So so delicious. It’s a must visit if you’re into Japanese cuisine. Slightly expensive but totally worth it.
