Offers almost all kinds of Japanese food without specializing in specific. The food we ordered is mediocre. The atmosphere is good, but chairs need to be upgraded.

I wouldn’t necessarily describe the food as bad, I would describe it as awful.

This is hands down one of my favorite restaurants of all time! I have gone to Takohachi probably around 10 times now. Every time the food is so delicious. The cook does an amazing time. We are always so impressed with how authentic the food is! Best Japanese food I’ve had in the US (yes, I’m Japanese). Do yourself a favor and eat here, you won’t be disappointed! Just look at my photos – とってもおいしい!!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Tacohachi, a Japanese restaurant in Northern Virginia, and let me tell you, it was an absolute culinary delight! The service was prompt and attentive throughout the meal, and I wish our server had made some recommendations, as it would have helped with more business.

Ordered Nabe Yaki Udon delivery to Pentagon City hoping for something hearty and comforting on a cold day. What arrived was edible, but pretty disappointing. I wouldn’t get it again.

Their sushi prices recently went up to 1.50 – but the quality has always remained the same, and that’s still very good! Given how post covid Era has hit a lot of businesses, I would gladly still support this local business with the price increase. The workers are really nice and hospitable. The food is always spot on for the price you get, and their lunch menu prices are just top-notch given the area its in. Can’t beat it! Overall, I enjoy going here at least once a week for their food and cheap draft beers 🙂 They even validate your parking!

Really wanted to like this place because the prices are great. I got the sunshine roll which was $9 and some Ngiri which was $1.50 a piece. I understand the prices are low but based off other reviews I thought the sushi would be better. It was ok.. it was lacking in flavor and did not taste fresh at all. It reminded me of supermarket / grocery store sushi. The ambience and service were nice. If you’re looking for a deal you might like it but if you’re someone whose really into sushi like me I would pass because you’ll notice the difference in quality compared to other places

A great middle ground sushi spot versus going an all you can eat sushi. Price per price is $1.50 but some items on the menu do vary. The peices are quite larger but packed with rice. They also happen to have Uni, for an additional price. At the time we ate it was a bit mushy, wet and funky almost spoiled sea water taste. Ive eaten fresh to pre-packaged uni and the uni was likely bad or spoiled. The salmon roe was also a bit off putting. Usually salmon roe is still round and bouncy. Some of roe we had was crushed and shriveled with a quite strong salty taste. Service was very fast and those preparing the sushi was even faster. Overall I did like this place, atmosphere is nice and clean. Apart from a few bad peices it didn’t destroy my experience here, I am more than likely to return in the near future.

Wonderful, been here twice since quarantine started! Make sure you ask about the daily specials when you call in an order. The poke bowl is awesome especially for the price. They really should post them to the Facebook page, but alas they don’t. Haven’t had the courage to try the sardine special yet. Also, you can order just the ramen broth if you want for like half the price. The dollar sushi is the style. Highly recommend.
