A very nice place with great atmosphere. Service was amazing, our waitress Dee was fantastic. The big issue was the food. The sushi, even though it was good quality, it just wasn’t made very well. It was like I made it for the 1st time. They were way to big, just too much rice. Even on the Japanese Bagel roll, the cream cheese pieces were way too big, so eating it tasted like biting into a block of cream cheese, where you couldn’t taste the Salmon. Then my wife got the Filet Mignon tacos, but the meat was mostly fatty, and Gristlely. We told our waitress Dee, who brought it to the manager, who agreed and remade it for her. The new steak was better, but was not a Filet, but more sirloin. The Calamari was very tasty, and the dipping sauce was awesome. Our taquitos were really good too. They had a lot on neat and creative items on the menu, so I would probably try them again, but I would be a little suspect.

So we brought customers here for dinner. Was immediately told that there was a 45 minute wait for sushi due to only having one chef. Decided to go with something other than sushi. I then proceeded to eat my dinner backwards….I’ll explain. I ordered calamari as an app, side salad to start and the Asian stir fry for my entree. The stir fry came out first, the calamari when I was almost finished with the entree and could only chuckle when the salad hit after finishing both of those. Although discombobulated, the food was all good. Just seemed that the wait staff stayed behind and the kitchen was out of sync. I just hate when things obviously doesn’t go the way it should and not a single staff member addresses it. In an attempt to be fair, I will again say the food was good. I’d definitely order the stir fry again.

This place is what draws me to Aiken! I can’t express the excitement I feel when I walk into this restaurant. The food is made with more then random ingredients splashed together. It’s made with pure love and care. The sushi is fantastic, highly recommend! Rice is cooked to perfection, not hard and stale, not mushy and slimy. I love the warm, welcoming atmosphere this place brings and offers as well! If you haven’t been to Takosushi, you’re truly missing out!

I love Takosushi. It is my go-to place when I want to impress someone. This location, however, has the same (kind of major) issue as the Takosushi in Surrey Center in Augusta since its remodel: there’s only about 2 feet in between tables. When it gets busy you really feel like you can’t move your elbows too much without hitting the person at the table next to you. It also makes it hard to have a conversation because you can hear everything from the tables around you. Personally, I’d prefer less tables and a longer wait time. Overall, I’d recommend coming here as long as they’re not packed. The food and service are great, but seating wise, the one in Evans is a much better experience.

I usually have a good experience here, their food is amazing. Their service today was horrible though, we were seated and sat there for a long time without even having our drink orders taken, other customers were seated around 10 minutes after we were and they had their drink orders taken and delivered right away, while we just sat there without even having our server introduce themselves.
