Had only ever been to the Takosushi in Aiken and this was our first visit to this location after moving to Evans. I love their location and their outdoor eating area. Our waitress was so kind, checked on us a lot and we never had to wait even though they were pretty busy. They seem to have a really good crew at this location and the food was great!

I was there Thursday July 20th for the first time. Food was great. The asparagus appetizer is amazing …but what really made it great was our server. Young guy who let us know he had just finished training. I forget his name but I’m sure anyone in management can figure it out based on this review. As someone who worked in every aspect of the service industry for over 20 years, I strongly suggest you guys do all you can to keep that kid on staff. As good as the food was, that guy made us feel like we were at his home. I sure hope the tip reflected how great we thought he was.

This is my second time getting a to go order from this location and I cannot say enough how much I’ll never go back to this location. The first Togo order didn’t contain the correct appetizer and my sushi’s avocado was old and brown. I gave it a second shot thinking they had an off day. Ordered the same roll, and again the avocado was brown and not green. The jalapeño poppers hardly had jalapeños. It was just breading. This location is trash and I’ll continue to only go to the surrey center location.

We arrived last Saturday at 630PM, it is usually very busy, but it only took us less than 10 minutes to get seats for a party of 4 (maybe that was the clue that people don’t want to eat here anymore)… our appetizers arrived without an issue, then we all ordered our main course…. about 15 minutes after we order I was told they we out of Chicken Stir Fry and I need to order something else… then it took almost an hour more to get our food. We were told that the “head chef call out” and they were “running on a back up kitchen staff”, yet we watched others that were seated after us get their food, eat and leave before our food arrived. When our food finally did come out, you would expect it to be very hot and fresh… NO…. it was all room temperature at best!!! During this whole time there was no management walking around to make sure all was going well, or to excuse the long wait, which you would think would be the case if the chef called out and it was a back up kitchen staff…. and then the bill came… nothing was comped for our 2 hour dining disaster….I will say at at least the waitress was friendly, apologetic for the wait, and her trainee was always stopping by to refill our drinks as we continued to wait…. but with this bad experience I don’t feel we will be going back anytime soon
