I loved it. Much better than other Japanese restaurants in McCalla, Bessemer, and Hueytown. The yum yum sauce was a little bit different than what we’ve had, but with the teriyaki chicken I didn’t even need it.

Love love love the sushi at Takoyaki! The New York Roll is my daughter’s favorite “all A’s” mom/daughter treat. Even my husband, who doesn’t do sushi, can find plenty of other things on the menu to eat. I am also a big fan of Thai tea. It’s quite crowded at times because of the limited space. I would love to see them move to a bigger restaurant with more seating and better ambiance. Overall one of our favorite local restaurants.

Great Indonesian cuisine. It was my first time but it was right on with flavor. The Gulai Kambing curry tastes like a combination between Thai curry + spicy beef stew. Not really but it’s hard to describe. Just try it for yourself. The meat was very soft and tender. It comes with jasmine rice. I really liked Satay Kumbing because the meat was more “chewy” than soft Gulai Kambing meat. BTW I think it’s more fitting to be an appetizer than a main dish imho
