I asked my neighbor for a pizza place that delivers to Pekin, since I don’t live here full time. He said Tallarico was good. So I called and ordered the Ultimate pack, a medium pizza and 10 wings. It was supposed to be $25. It turned out to be $26.39 plus $2 for an extra ingredient? I wasn’t aware of the $5.09 delivery fee, such an odd amount. So with tax, it was $35.75 and I gave him a generous a 30% tip because I didn’t have to go out and get it! I got a pepperoni and onion pizza and 10 mild wings.

Thought I would try one of their pizza’s since it was on my way home. The crust was good, and that’s the only thing good I can say about it. I read one of the earlier reviews and they said their pizza came with a bit of sauce, so I ordered extra sauce on mine, and mine was a bit of sauce, as well. The sauce was not flavorful or substantial. Toppings were very minimal. Unfortunately, It tastes like a cheap frozen pizza. Sorry Tallarico’s.

Had the calzone which was really good. Highly recommend. FYI, they do use a sweet sauce but they do make it from scratch. I enjoyed it very much. Next visit, I will try the pizza and wings.

Wings were great and crispy. However, pizza was bland and dough is dense, pics online that show generous cheese and toppings are misleading. There is a five percent charge to pay by credit card (c’mon) which they tell you upfront but still in 2019 is insanity, not aware of other local delivery joints that have such a surcharge. Delivery driver didn’t say one word to me and 30 wings were shoved into one styrofoam container to the point where you couldn’t close the lid. Wings were almost good enough to negate the negatives but we won’t be ordering here again. Was disappointed in this place and I don’t understand the 4.2 star rating, seems inflated in my opinion.

Go to Papa Leo’s.. Tried this place for the first time last week by grabbing a few slices. I honestly was really disappointed. The staff was very friendly and fast but the pizza.. it’s just pizza and honestly I would hit up little Caesars before I come here again. The crust is thin and there was not much sauce although the pizza appeared cooked when I bit it the cheese looked like it could have used another minute in the oven but the pepperoni was cupped and charred beautifully (day old pizza is my thought). I won’t be back, not when Papa Leo’s is just down the road and serving a far superior product for a measly 60 cents more. And yes they charge a fee to use credit.
