Experienced Tamalcalli last week. I love a good tamale. These were just ok. This little spot has been through its share of eateries. Most recently a hot dog place that didn’t last very long. I hope the tamales can go the distance. There is a LONG list of tamale flavors and disappointingly the two I wanted were not available. A fact I didn’t find out until after I paid and feather than get a refund and leave had to scramble to decide on other options. The chicken mole in banana leaves was good it was very flavorful and had a nice texture. The squash and cheese on the other hand lacked flavor, unless you got one of the few bits with cheese and was dry and crumbly. The red and green sauces helped. The server was very nice and friendly. I would give them another try, but maybe call in for takeout so I can get the flavor I want before going.

First timer. I always order birria tacos if a restaurant offers them. The quesabirria tacos were probably the best I’d ever had. Took another customers recommendation and got the chimichanga and a to go box also. Both were amazing and I’ll definitely be back when I’m in town. Wish they’d open one in Tulsa as I’d invest in it personally

Got chicken tacos, mole tamales oaxeñas, and chicken flautas. Everything came out very quickly. The agua fresca was delicious. All the food seemed very fresh and was very tasty. Most flautas I’ve had in the past were heavily fried and hard, but these were nice and crispy with fresh cheese and lettuce. A very enjoyable dinner experience!

Staff was nice and super helpful regarding menu options. I went with the two tamale meal. Had the chicken tamale and the shrimp tamale. The chicken was good and the tamale had great texture. Didn’t care for the shrimp tamale because the shrimp was over cooked and chewy. However the beans and rice were great. I’ll return to try the burrito next.

I ordered 4 dishes and we only liked one the quesabirria, tacos and gringas are very simple with little flavor and honestly very expensive for me.
