Absolutely wonderful staff, food and OMG key lime pie. The owner was around helping the workers and was the kindest gentleman ever. Worth the wait and I highly recommend stopping in!

Absolutely delicious! The most authentic Mexican food around. Try the pumpkin tamale! Trust me!

Their motto is “no whining” so I will try not to whine writing this review. Food is good, service is prompt but we were given the old bait & switch… so beware when you order!!! Last night we ordered two fish tacos for $8.95, but were served (and charged) the fish taco plates for $23.95. We just sucked it up as we didn’t want to whine or complain. Instead, just wanted to let others know to be very clear when placing your order.

This place is amazing!!! The guacamole is obviously homemade. The margaritas are delicious and not to sweet. Had a pumpkin tamale for the first time and it was outstanding! The quesadilla was lovely. The owner Jeff seems to know all the clientele, and stops by every table. I know it sounds odd for a Mexican restaurant, but the key lime pie is to die for. We also had the flan, which was excellent. I can’t say enough good things about this place. It is a Must for Highland Park!!!!!

They microwave their food. Huge let down. I spent 25 dollars on my plate of microwaved enchiladas. It made my enchiladas shells hard as a rock and the sauce turned into a bubbled fixture on the plate. Really disappointed because I was really looking forward to a good mole enchilada… also I got the Mexican street corn which I love and get at every Mexican restaurant I go too. But their’s had so much cayenne on top I couldn’t eat it. We would of got dessert but didn’t want to spend another 10$ on on microwaved food. And their queso sauce is like the yellow cheese sauce you get at the movie theater with fresh veggies in it. The person I was with said the El pastor tacos were good. But you pay 9 dollars for 2 tacos and then .75 cents for each individual topping you want on it.

Went for lunch, sat outside. The owner was lovely and set up the tables just for us after the rain. The salmon burrito was delicious!

Food was good, not worth the price. Everything on the menu is ridiculously expensive. There are plenty of great mexican cousine options nearby with fair pricing and fantastic food. They charge you almost $9 for 2 tacos and no sides. The tacos only come with meat and a tortilla…. If you want any additional toppings (onion, cilantro, lettuce, cheese, salsa, etc) they are 75 cents each. Also, $18 for a house margarita??? Food was good, price was outrageous

Wish I would have Read the other reviews but sometimes you can’t always go by what you read unfortunately I have to agree with those who gave this place a bad rating.. rice was to blend no flavor what so ever and hard… The beans taste like they can out of a can.. I paid 102 which I was shocked the food here really isn’t worth that price… I myself have a culinary background and is very disappointing chipotle I have to say is way better than go here.. pretty sure they don’t care about another bad review…

The free chips and salsa were the best part of dinner. The salsa was really good. The rest of the dinner was over priced and not good. Microwaved food.
