I bought 6 tamales on 02/13/2022 around 12pm. CERMAK LOCATION . as I was eating my tamal I saw a cockroach on the piece I was about to eat. My stomach quickly turned upside down, and i went back to get my money , around $12. I informed the lady at the register , a younger lady maybe in her 30s brown hair , tan skin . Medium size built . She QUICKLY gave me attitude and said she was only giving me my money from that one tamal with the roach . I told her no I needed all my money back , she kept on trying to argue with me, at the end she gave me $10 back only, because one tamal my husband was eating was less than half eaten. She handled it in a very non professional way. Very rude , and disrespectful. NEVER APOLOGIZE FOR THE INCONVENIENCE . Here are some pictures.

Great popusas. Had the green tamales which were surprisingly nice size and tasted great. This place is cash only but they do have an Atm available for personal use. There is no public bathroom. The dining area would sit three groups max as it is small area. Parking would be an issue as Cermak is a busy main street. Popusas take a while to make about 15mins. Tamales are readily available.

I had to leave, seen everyone get their orders before mine. The girl didn’t know difference between enchiladas and chilaquiles apparently because she went to the kitchen, cans back to ask if I wanted enchiladas or chilaquiles. The other dude helping her looked and spoke as if he had just woken up. Kept asking everyone what they ordered. I don’t know what’s going on but seems like this is very common with our Latino businesses… focusing 100% in making food while forgetting about the customer experience. Hope this makes it to the owner, food is good, your customer service sucks.
