I visited on Friday, May 20, 2022 and this was my first visit to this deli. I was hungry and decided to try this business out. I ordered the Supremo hero. Wait time was good and service was wonderful. I ate my food when I came food. I was enjoying the sandwich until I bit into the core of lettuce. I removed it and finished my sandwich. Although, this was my first visit, it will not be a deal breaker for future visits. However, I will mention it to the owner when I come back.

Enjoyed the Godfather sandwich as usual. Worth it to go a little bit out of the way for. Need to keep trying other sandwiches there.

Been going to Tamburino’s for about 40 years. About 10 years ago we was visiting relatives in Rockaway and decided to stop in for the legendary godfather sandwich which me and my wife always shared. The owner Joe told us they were about ready to close. We told him we moved from the five towns area and were visiting a relative in Rockaway he proceeded to hook us up with big tray of food. He didn’t it have to do that. His generosity surpass old world tradition. I grew up in the Bronx early ’60s so I know how it was then. You don’t see that anymore in New York which is a shame. Thank you for keeping that tradition alive Joe. Keep doing what you’re doing you are doing it right!

Very disappointed with their philly cheese steak sandwich. Seems like they used thick cuts of unseasoned roast beef instead of thin cuts sirloin steak. Extremely large like all of their sandwiches but definitely would highly recommend the grilled chicken cutlet with roasted red peppers, mozzarella and mayo.

Eh, maybe it was just an off day for the guy making sandwiches, but they essentially tunred my hero into an openface with the amount of meat stuffed into it, with little lettuce and soggy tomatoes 🙁
