Tam’s is a pretty solid HK style cafe. They have a lot of the classic menu items like stir fried noodles, pineapple buns, drinks, congee, etc.

Legit Hong Kong breakfast. Really good congee broth with a smooth texture that is hard to replicate at home. Rice noodle rolls were also fantastic. They have more outdoor seating than indoor and while the food may come out fast the diners tend to take their time to chat. Recommend going earlier than later.

In general, food quality is decent. I pretty like their pig hands soup/dried thick noodles. Pan fried noodles is not crispy enough.

One of the reason I came back to LA again in short period was for their Pineapple Bun. It was so good! Not disappointed.

Excellent tasting Chinese food was really pleased with how fast I got my take out within 25 minutes and definitely had plenty of left over. Really enjoyed the Is seaweed fish, Orange chicken and the filet minion beef. Can’t wait to go back and try more

Sat outside with a friend in the beautiful patio. Nice sunny weather but, a bit of wind. Enjoy a wonderful meal outdoors if you can. Have them wipe the table clean before laying your things down.

Been eyeing Tam’s noodle house for quite some time, what makes me decide to try it because of the Kaya (coconut jam) toast (3.50). Saw it on their menu and I told my wife that I have to try it. Too bad the Kaya toast is not up to par to what I had in Singapore. I couldn’t really taste the Kaya, it was overpowered by the butter. Anyway, beside that, I also ordered 2 Deep-fried Dough sticks (5.00), 2 combo of Luncheon meat w/ egg, and Ham & egg, both come with HK Style Pineapple Bun and drinks (23.90), 1 Wonton Noodle w/ Beef Stew (12.50), and Rice Noodle Roll w/ House special sauce (sesame w/ soy sauce) (5.50). The best dish is the Wonton noodle w/ beef stew, it is so flavorful yet not salty. The wonton itself is full of meat and shrimp, the beef stew is very tender, the soup is amazing, and lastly the noodle is superb, flavorful and has a nice springy texture. In my own opinion, even though the toast and pineapple bun are slightly disappointing, the wonton noodle and rice noodle roll are the one that make me want to go back.

Enjoyed dinner on Friday, April 22. The Pork Chops were cooked just right and juicy. The veggies were cooked to perfection, crisp, fresh with a beautiful green color (5 stars). The Shrimp Chow Mein was pan fried on both sides; shrimp was fresh and crunchy, sauce was very tasty (5 stars). The Sweet & Sour pork short-ribs was excellent (5 stars). The Hong Kong style Salty-Egg Fried Chicken Wings were really yummy (5 stars)! My Hot Milk Tea was tasty with hints of a choice tea blend (4.5 stars) We were once again impressed with the authenticity of Hong Kong taste and recommend you satisfy your desire for the Hong Kong style dishes.
