Tango Café offers gourmet comfort food classics along with tapas-style appetizers and a full bar in a classy-meets-cozy-casual atmosphere. Founded by champion ballroom dancer Janet Carrus, Tango Café is inspired by the intuitive physical communication required between dance partners.

Such lovely servers and hostess at this place! Our waitress, Erica, knew the menu very well and was super friendly. Food is excellent. We had the grain bowl, the grain bowl special and the crème brûlée cheesecake for dessert. Awesome drinks, too! Great value. We will definitely be back

One of the few places that the outdoors are as pretty and comfy as the inside. Beautiful Adirondack chairs next to big belly fireplaces offer a beautiful place to enjoy a drink before dinner or a coffee afterwards. Seating on the covered front patio is laid back and cozy. Inside is a chic modern space with an open kitchen where the chef himself welcomed us. Everything we had was exceptional. The Bison Burger, Grain Bowl, Fried Chicken Sandwich all delicious. We enjoyed coffee and desset and never felt rushed. I would most definitely go back. We loved it.

Tango Café has delicious food, friendly staff and is a great place to eat, outdoors or in. I was there recently with several friends before a going to a movie at Hurleyville Performing Arts Center and we all enjoyed sitting outside in a beautiful setting and eating really good food. We were served by a friendly and helpful waitress who made sure we made the movie on time! I am looking forward to going back soon.

We were the first to arrive at the restaurant and yet it took over 40 minutes for the zombie waitstaff to bring us the food and drink menus (we asked for them no less than three times). We were completely ignored for the first 15 minutes, even though there was hardly any other patrons. The dish I wanted to order was sold out. On two occasions we were brought beverages or dishes we didn’t order (meanwhile one of the dishes we actually ordered took so long that we almost canceled it). The table next to us returned their dish because they found a hair in it. The $15 strawberry mojitos were mediocre. The fried chicken sandwich was basic but OK. The sherbet was a tiny serving scooped by someone who seemed to have never scooped ice cream in their life. To complete the picture, the restaurant has the charm of a big-box store and insists on having bad live music played by a band that should have stayed in retirement.

This is an awesome restaurant. I’ve been there 4 times in the past month with groups, once to celebrate a successful benefit concert and once with my daughters and grandchildren. The drinks, food and desserts have been top notch and the service efficient, friendly and warm. Shout outs especially to the manager, Aimee and waitress, Erica.
