I recently had the pleasure of dining at a Chinese-inspired restaurant that completely blew me away. The food was fantastic, and the atmosphere was perfect for a romantic evening out. The cocktails were also top-notch and added to the overall experience.

This was a small restaurant with quality food. The lighting was low, which created great atmosphere but made it hard to read the menu. It’s Chinese food with a more upscale take on the taste of the food. The most annoying part of our meal is they forgot my meal. We had a group of seven people and everybody received their meal except me. I told are server they forgot to bring my meal out at the point where everyone was already done eating. The server argued with me and said they didn’t forget my meal. 10 minutes later it came out with zero apologies and everyone at the table got to watch me eat.

Good food , good service , Rossi was super nice!! Tofu was good, crab told too, dumpling mushroom good too and the sea bass expensive for the quality and the portion! That can do better and also fish smell since the entrance , they need to fix this asap! See the kitchen is attractive but leave the place with fish aroma no we will back at some point!

All the dishes are either too salty/oily or too plain, never strikes a balance. Overpriced for the quality of food. Manager is a very nice guy though, such a waste of talent – he should have gone to manage a better restaurant.

The menu is a cool, modern take on American Chinese. The dishes that were good were flavorful, but different from what you’d normally expect from a Chinese joint in the US. Keep that in mind if you decide to come.

Very nice spot for a date. The food is delicious and they gave great service. Be prepared though, for dinner and dessert and a drink it will cost around $100. Although the restaurant decor was gorgeous, I did not like how dark it was. It was also a bit smoky, I’m guessing from the nearby kitchen. My allergies were activated. Nearby parking at the restaurant is also quite expensive. Overall, I had a nice time. I had the cucumber salad (it was spicy but I like that), the bok chocolate (very buttery, garlicky and delicious but don’t try to kiss anyone immediately after) and the branzino (served on a leaf with a small lemony salad type thing (absolutely delicious)! Once again, the staff is fantastic, from the hostess to the waiters. The expresso martini was ok. Oh, and you can get super cute selfies in the bathroom.

I remember before Tanka it was a different Chinese restaurant there. Let me tell you Tanka is on a different level: beautiful fine dining restaurant. Everything we ordered (and we ordered a lot) was absolutely delicious! And I would order it next time again. So as cocktails. Service was very good. And place just absolutely beautiful. Btw on Monday evening restaurant was about 70% full! I would say it is a good sign. Well done, guys! Keep it amazing!

Truly a hidden gem! It’s a bit sad we were only 3 tables for dinner, this place should be packed. Food tasted delicious (cucumber salad is the best one I’ve had in my life), large portions, very reasonable prices, nice decor and a window to the kitchen from the dining room. Friendly staff…I’ll definitely come back!
