Leaving this review to lament the change in ownership here. We ordered from Tanoshii for years; they served genuinely the best fried rice, fried chicken, and lo mein we’ve ever had. We found out to our horror last night that the old owners have retired from this business, apparently bringing with them the chefs that made the old menu. The new food was alright at best, but nothing could ever hold a candle to what they used to make.

The Tanoshii Experience ( Call-in/Pick-up Edition). I wanted Chinese on this day, but my regular spot is closed on Tuesday, so I thought I would try Tanoshii. I had eaten here a while back but left with an upset stomach but was willing to try them again. So I called in and spoke with a pleasant individual, ordered their Lunch Crispy Scallion Chicken, and asked for it to be crispy and spicy. The lunch combos come with fried rice or steamed rice, and I ordered fried rice, an egg roll, or one piece of crab cheese wonton, and I selected an egg roll.

I’ve been a regular customer for the last couple of years and sadly the new menu under new management is very disappointing. I just ordered the Hibachi Chix Entree and it was mediocre at best…a bunch of onions for vegetables with a couple of slices of zucchini. I probably will not be back. Too bad, the previous menu was good…

I really NEED the woman and man the originals to return. I have been a loyal customer for YEARS, since they have these new cooks the food is horrible. I literally just stopped by and looked through the window to see if they were in there, and since they were not I got back in my car. I will be unable to patronize this spot until they get new cooks or the originals return.
