Good Eats! here! I like this place. Came here back to back nights. A good fusion of Japanese and Italian, at least that what people tell me. I just like the taste! Still can’t find a great bowl of ramen but the broth is really good here. And if you’re not a fan of ramen, you’ll love the other dishes here. Definitely keep room for dessert!

This place is good! This isn’t the biggest place, and when you do dine here, just a warning that it can be a bit smoky inside, but the food and service was really good. We waited only a little amount of time as they prepared our table, and they gave children’s plates and utensils which was quite nice of them. I wanted to try to many different things on the menu, based on the reviews on yelp and luckily I was able to take some of those recommendations.

Great ramen! The noodles were cooked perfect and the broth very flavorful! The service is above and sooo sweet! It was my first time trying Taiyaki and it was so amazing in the parfait. Everyone must try the parfait!

We had the most amazing time at Tanpopo. The food was great and the staff was even better. Our server was such a nice girl that she made our day. To our server : I’m so sorry, I do not know how to type your name, but we had our best meal in Hawaii because of you! She was very knowledgeable and gave us recommendations of things to do in the local area. I strongly recommend you visit Tanpopo soon!

Honestly, probably the best food we had in our week in Maui. The Japanese dishes are proper authentic, kind of like Japanese mom comfort food. So good and so well executed. We doubted first because of the fact that they also do Italian food and it seemed a bit odd but we were so happy we decided to try and we will try the Italian dishes too next time. The table next to us was eating vongole pasta and it looked awesome.

This place was recommended by a close friend. We came here as a large group and they were able to find us a table very quickly. It’s a fairly small sized restaurant. The service was great and so was the amazing food. Every item we ordered tasted really great. The chef really knows what he is doing. Highly recommend the place if you are looking for great Japanese food.
