Pretty good food, would definitely come back if I am staying at the connected hotel again. The menu is Filipino style, so just be aware when ordering. I had the beef short rib moco loco and the mat was very tender. The other people in my party got fish n chips and another fish dish. I enjoyed the cheesecake and the massive mud pie ice cream.

We dined at Tante’s twice during our stay at Maui Seaside hotel. The food was very good and the staff very friendly. Many locals dine here, celebrating birthdays, so you know it’s good. They have traditional Hawaiian dishes and Filipino dishes, which was a first for me.

The last time I was in Maui, a few months ago, I ordered the Loco Moco from Tante’s. I loved it! Not only was the dish amazing, it set me on the hunt for even better Loco Moco. Right after I placed my order, I saw it – Beef Short Rib Loco Moco. Now, it isn’t Loco Moco in the traditional sense, but the rice, egg, short ribs, and sauce which reminded me more of a sweet demi glaze than a gravy. I still devoured the plate without much resistance.
