I like the chalkboard that specifies the local suppliers. I like the airy, clean interior, and I really enjoyed the friendliness of the staff. The veggi on sourdough was tasty, maybe the mushrooms had a tad too much vinegar, but overall a happy, full-flavored sandwich that I can recommend. The calories of the lunch are balanced with the needs of an office worker but will not sustain a person that does physical labor.

I absolutely love this establishment. Everything that I have eaten has been phenomenal. The quality is definitely top notch. I love the Chicken Pesto sandwich; Veggie Grill sandwich; Pineapple, Carrot, and Ginger Smoothie; Broccoli Salad; Sweet Potato Salad; Hummus; and last yet most definitely not least the Mushroom Soup. I drive one way over 50 minutes to enjoy what this restaurant has to offer. Taproot has a wonderful staff, as well. Freda and Destiny have a wonderful sense of community as coworkers that can be felt by the customers. On my recent trip this past Thursday, Cain was working. He was equally just as friendly and hospitable. Customer service has always been top notch. I am so sad that this restaurant is closing.

Incredible cafe! Went with my partner and we tried the veggie sandwich, Mushroom toast, and the Pineapple Sage smoothie. Everything was absolutely delicious! The veggies were cooked perfectly, and everything was super flavorful. The food was out quickly, and the workers were extremely kind and welcoming. Could not have wanted a better lunch spot!

This is definitely my new favorite staple restaurant! It is clean eating at its finest. Everything I’ve tried here is delicious, filling but not the bad “too full” feeling, it’s the healthy “light full” feeling! I’m addicted to the Kale Salad & I add grilled chicken to it. The goat cheese in it is out of this world so sometimes I request extra! Cannot recommend this restaurant enough!!

Senior Living Guide
I brought the boys, teenage boys, to Taproot on a break from a baseball tournament to get them something healthy to eat. We all got smoothies and they were fantastic. The manager and staff are great. The place is clean and service is fast with a smile. Plus healthy, I’m all in.

This was my first visit to Taproot Cafe after a coworker recommended it. I got the pesto chicken panini and it was excellent! I love that this business buys so much locally – from the amazing sourdough bread to the produce used. The chips and hummus (which comes with the sandwich) weren’t my favorite, but I appreciate that the pita chips were baked rather than fried. I can’t wait to try the Cobb salad and the PBLT.

Wow and super wow! I’m from out of town for a pickleball tournament and this was the perfect place to find some healthy food. I had the salmon toast, mushroom soup, butcha drink made in Alabama, and an off the diet cookie that was really good. The employees were amazing ! Hard to find great quality empl oyees now adays!
