We had a great experience here for dinner. We sat at the comfy bar seats. I ordered a Cosmo which was a bit tart for me and the bartender overheard me say something to my husband. She asked me if I would like it made sweeter. Great customer service!!

We were there after the lunch rush and were the only ones eating. The food was delicious and our waitress was terrific. Since we were the only ones there, the waitress was free to chat with us which was a lot of fun. We had eaten there a couple of years ago during the lunch rush and other than being very noisy the food and service was excellent.

Traveling through Lexington today and stopped onto Taps for lunch. Saw lots of great reviews. Sadly I strongly disagree. Waitress told was we could pick a table. We ordered 2 iced teas. Not sure how old the tea was.. very “muddy ” in color and not drinkable. But they did provide warm water. I order the tap burger.. the only good thing about it was how it was cooked. No bacon onion jam and barely any pimento cheese. Think it was a frozen patty. Fries that came with it were cold and hard. Not edible. My husband hot the fish and chips. Fish was just a frozen fish.. nothing special. Came with some slaw per menu.. about size of a quarter.. why bother. Pretty restaurant but no good reason to return. Waitress NEVER returned after we ordered.

Nice casually upscale bar & restaurant with quality food. We walked in without a reservation and were seated immediately. Staff was friendly. Menu is concise, but varied and had something for everyone in our group. Short beer list, but hit all the styles. Fish tacos were excellent. The photo doesn’t do them justice, there were three lightly seared pieces of tuna with tasty toppings. I also tried the chicken and waffles and veggie burger and they were both very good as well.

Taps is located in the base of the Georges Hotel in Lexington. Both are managed by the highly competent and charming manager, John. Very good service, fresh food and nice decor.

The chicken bowl I received was so bland . It tasted and looked like I received a healthy choice microwaveable dish. The portion size was definitely not worth $17. The $15 cheese plate was comparable to a few lunchable packets opened up and put on a fancy board. To top it off, the service was lousy. The server definitely needed tips on how to do a better job with the customers. Definitely won’t return when in the area again. I’m not sure how they stay in business. I recommend the Thai restaurant across the street….very friendly staff and awesome food.

Average food. Very slow service. Mojito without any soda water or mint as shown on the menu. . Sent back.. still wanting to charge us for it. Spoke with manager … not very interested. She did remove the cocktail charge.

Average food- only 1/5 stars due to poor service! Sat for at least 10 min before asked if we wanted a menu- waiter obviously did not want to be there. Drinks remained empty although extremely hot in dining area- had to ask individually for even water refills (as if waiter could not see empty glasses).
