This place has a diner feel to it. It’s small and cozy. The food is exceptional. We ordered the torta de milanesa and the quesabirria. In truth, I thought the quesabirria was some kind of quesadilla but it was more like fried tacos. It was greasy is all the right ways. It comes with some sort of dunking liquid. The meat inside was tender and very well seasoned. The torta was thin and crispy. We also ordered a strawberry slushy drink as suggested by our server and it was delicious. It wasn’t too sweet. I will definitely be returning to try other menu items. The server is very friendly and everyone had a smile on their face. Our total was $31. Great place.

This place is INCREDIBLE some of the most delicious food I have had in a long time. I got a chicken burrito which was $12.99 and I thought was a little pricey. HOWEVER the burrito ended up being about as big as my thigh and chicken was the most abundant ingredient. It was worth way more than $12.99. It was some of the best authentic Mexican food I’ve ever had. PLEASE go to this place so we can keep this little gem of a restaurant open and in Salem for many years. I strongly recommend this restaurant!!!

Ok so I just got home from having dinner from Taqueria el jacalito with my son I’m not even exaggerating but wow I’m super impressed so delicious my son is hard to pleez when it comes to the flavor of rice and beans and he loved it. He got mango drink and I strawberry so good I love that it’s not so surgery and real fruit the homemade tortillas are so good I got the 3 tacos de lengua plate he got carne asada quesadilla the only thing I wish is that the tortillas were a little bigger especially since I like to ad more stuff on top . We ask if they could make our onions cooked and they did without hesitation. The Chile Verde was on point like seriously perfect. We will definitely be back our meal and drinks were about $41

Amazing taco spot. Delicious street tacos on handmade Tortillas. Great selection of bottled drinks imported from mexico. Cute diner set up and tons of booth seating. Staff went above and beyond with customer service. Keep your eye out for specials, I happen to show up during Taco Tuesday and all my tacos were half the price.

Wanted something quick that I could walk to. Walked in and was greeted warmly by the lovely senorita. I made the order for 4 of each of the street tacos. While we waited she seated us and gave us beans and fresh chips along with their red and green salsas. Most of the beans my baby ate while the wife and I enjoyed both of the salsas and chips. I plan on trying everything on their menu. This is a place to visit.

Very quaint family-run Mexican restaurant. The place is small and very clean. I’ve had the chile relleno burrito twice. Love it! Friends have had other burritos and nachos. All are very generous portions at a decent price.
