Hands down my favorite place to eat Mexican food at Davis. I love the food, environment and staff. Everything is reasonably priced. A big plus is their chips and salsa bar. I’ve been in this and the other locations owned by the family and have had a mixture of varied experiences. Its been hit or miss to say the least. The food has been good to fine to meh, but the customer service has been lukewarm to cold, to tolerant, to bemused, and to low key hostile. I can’t in good faith spend my hard earned cash with this chain of restaurants. The energy is just off. This last time was my last time. When I was an undergrad this was my go-to Mexican spot. Food was good and inexpensive. I haven’t been here in a few years but it was probably one of the best if not the best Mexican restaurants in Davis. I’d put this location over the other Taqueria Guadalajara in Davis as well.
