I came here as I tres veles for work. Before I ordered I saw the cook put a plate of tacos in the microwave to heat them up. ☹️ when he asked me if I wanted to order I said, “ Not if your gonna heat my food in a microwave. He shrugged his shoulders as to say, “oh well”. This dude didn’t even care, didn’t care to shave, didn’t care period. Sorry not for me. If you don’t have enough pride in your food to make it fresh for your customers, why would I want to eat microwaved reheated food? Guys stay away from this I’m giving one star (wish it could be zero. Pass on this one.

My family and I call this place Soledad’s, after the proprietor. We love to try different restaurants whenever we have the opportunity, but somehow, we always end up coming back to Soledad’s. The food is great, worth 5 stars even, if not for the menu being so small. Some of the items are not as robust as that of larger Mexican restaurants, but it’s reflected in the price. The molcajete, for example, may pack smaller portions, but is several dollars cheaper than that of any competitors I have tried, and still tastes amazing. Service is thorough and cordial, but can be a little slow at times, being a small establishment, with such a small staff. Overall, when I consider quality and value, Soledad’s is the best authentic Mexican restaurant I have eaten at in the county, though I will always continue looking.

the food was NOT fresh, i saw them microwave my food. it’s a taqueria; almost all taquerias i’ve went to always make the food fresh. i got a huarache and the tortilla was HARD. also, the server lady was rude when i asked her about how big the drink cups were and the whole time she was giving bad looks. i’m mexican myself and i know when food is good & when it’s bad. this is just my experience here at this place. never again will i come.

I’m an adventurer; I like to explore funky foods in dive cafes, and I heard this was real-deal Mexican. However, the moment I opened the door, I saw the weird kitchen, and I smelled something “stinky”, and I saw the “oh, no, he’s White” looks on their faces…well, I knew I was in over my head. It was going to be a hard and complicated task (for all of us!) to get through a meal here, so I smiled and left. There IS such a thing as TOO authentic and TOO ethnic, but if you are Hispanic or speak Spanish, you’ll have a better advantage over me.
