The service was great and the food was even better! Their classic Taco Al Pastor was amazing! We also tried the Gringa and it was bomb too! After ordering and eating, I sent my husband to get me 2 more tacos because they were THAT good. You have to try this place! Also their lemonade was super good too!

This felt like a little hole in the wall and was tasty! Servers only really spoke Spanish. They only serve tacos Al pastor which they do very well. However, we were really hoping that they also had other options like we’ve had at other taquerias like carne asada, chorizo, chicken, etc…. Loved that they had melted cheese though and pineapple which were BIG pluses! Very small and was hot inside. Not a whole lot of drink options. Seeing the large Trompo of blazing meat was awesome! Reasonably priced.

Taqueria Los Cuates probably makes the best al pastor tacos in San Antonio. These are as good better than those you’d find even in México. Their trompo is fresh, the pineapple slices are juicy, and their pork glaze is perfect. At $2.50 (as of April 2023) a taco, you should get as many as you can eat! They’re tremendous. Staff is very friendly. You’ll find indoor and limited outdoor seating. There is no dedicated parking lot so expect to walk from street parking. Water is not free so bring a bottle or buy one.

The tacos al pastor were awesome! Best I’ve had in SA. Unfortunately, the service was not great. We waited way too long to get served. Don’t get me wrong, they were very friendly and were trying, but it shouldn’t take that long to warm tortillas and carve some meat. Other than that, it was great. I’ll be back. I just hope to catch them on a better day.

4.5 stars / I really liked the Al pastor tacos I ordered! They had four diff salsa to choose from so I liked the variety. They were exactly what I needed at the time and I got to see the guy make fresh cuts from the kabab thing!

Great little taco shop. You don’t need a lot of things on the menu when your specialty is so good.

Perfect tacos for lunch on a scorching summer afternoon. Got the gringa and the normal pastor tacos with lemonade. Casual little place, friendly service. Solid 27 stars.

Tacos were edible. Kind of over priced for size. Salsa was not spicy but I really liked how nice and kind the workers were.

This is a MUST stop when visiting downtown and Southtown. Staff is great and the food is amazing. It can get pretty busy later in the evening, but if you have the time… wait. You won’t regret it.
