Authentic!!!! Took my wife and kids tonight, and we are beyond pleased! We’ve been wanting to try it out and finally did. We will definitely be returning! There is so much to choose from and quality, hot, fresh plates of pure deliciousness!! Service was on point, and the vibe brought me back home to California, where you get a true feel of an authentic taqueria. We all loved everything ❤️ UPDATE: I’ve been multiple times since the original review, and they have never disappointed!!

I’d give it a 3.5 overall. First time going. Went on a Sunday for lunch & got sat immediately. A decent place for a quick bite with friends or small groups. They do have a kids menu.

The food was absolutely delicious. We had the lunch options of chicken nachos and chicken fajitas. Both were delicious and we will definitely come back for the food. The staff are very friendly and very efficient. The only reason I didn’t give it a five stars is because the inside of the restaurant.

It was a nice day so we sat outside on the patio. The staff was so friendly! Chips & salsa were brought to our table upon arrival. The chips were fresh & hot, the salsa was mild in terms of heat but homemade & super fresh as well. We ordered an off-the-menu item: birria tacos. You get a choice of flour or corn tortillas, we chose corn. The tacos were delicious & full of flavor (& also only like $2.50 per taco if I’m not mistaken). The waitress brought out two types of salsas in the bottles, green & red (different from the one served with chips). The red one was my favorite. Also, if you’ve never had birria tacos, it comes with a side of consomé (or the meat’s braising liquid) to dip your tacos in, which is what is pictured in the small white dish. We also ordered a side of rice & beans. The beans were okay but the rice was AMAZING. Will definitely be back!

I order from here religiously these days. Their food is always hot and fresh and everything ive tried has been absolutely delicious. These are the chori fries ive had it with steak and chorizo and they are my favorite. 10/10. Amazing place you need to try if youre in lake charles. Also amazing friendly, smiling, staff everytime I come here. They are also really fast and efficient. I love it

So it’s on a small renovated old house. That’s the worst thing to say. The people…. Amazing. The food….. Amazing. The cocktails…… Amazing! This is my new favorite and the only thing I’m upset about, is it took me too long to try them. BTW I love the renovated old house motif, just couldn’t think of anything other than amazing to rate them.

I have eaten here a number of times and this is probably my family’s favorite Mexican restaurant in Lake Charles. The different salsa are great. The Burrito de Puerco is delicious. My sister-in-law had the burria tacos and she loved them. So far, we’ve loved everything we’ve had there. And I like that there are a few vegetarian options since my son is vegetarian. Definitely our go-to spot.

When you walk into this place you really feel like you are sitting at their kitchen table. Very warm welcoming atmosphere. All the people here were very friendly and attentive. They also speak Spanish and English. I recommend checking out this little restaurant in Lake Charles if you are in the area.
