Made it out to Taqueria Monarca food truck in Old Town. The owners, Mario and Ana, are super friendly and helpful. I admitted that I’ve never had their food before, so they walked me through their menu and their daily specials. Got the Wednesday Burrito Special (Steak) and their new Taco Alebrije (a nice open faced entree with choice of protein, beans, diced onions and tomato, cilantro, a mixture of their Monarda sauce and their jalapeno crema, and sliced avocado on a flour tortilla). They threw in a free Steak Mulita.
