We went there late Saturday afternoon, the lull period before dinner. Seems like the staff were chilling and getting ready for the dinner rush. At first we were the only customers but then the place started filling up. We had cheese quesadilla, shrimp taco and fish taco. All were good, especially the shrimp taco which was absolutely scrumptious! I’ll be back.

The tacos were ok but not authentic. The drinks were amazing and good songs. The bar tender is so lively and inviting.i would not recommend it for food but drinks definitely try the paloma with 1800 tequila.

The menu is vast with lots of tacos, quesadillas and sides to pick from. The restaurant itself has a trendy vibe with lights, a bar, wooden/industrial seating. The staff here were very nice. Restaurant is average on a cleanliness scale. There was a salsa bar that had additional toppings for your taco and 3 salsas to choose from. Prices were average at $4-$5 per taco. The taste of the tacos were average. I thought the el pastor taco lacked flavor and the meat was pretty dry. The carne asada was my favorite with the pico and avocado purée to top. The Baja shrimp was okay, I like Spivey but this may be a bit too hot for those that don’t enjoy spice. Overall, I thought this taqueria was pretty average. I wasn’t wowed by the food. If I were to come back I would likely order the more premium tacos with more toppings as the basic tacos lacked flavor.

The food at this place is very tasty and well seasoned, the lower rating is b/c of the restaurants atmosphere/experience. The space is so small and people move tables together for larger groups leaving smaller groups without a seat. You order food and have to wait 30-45 minutes to even get a seat. The music is extremely loud and unbearable. You cannot hear the person across from you. You can see the staff making your food but it doesn’t look organized, it looks..very strange. I would not visit this place again, just b/c of the vibe. Also, I’m paying a high price for food that I cannot enjoy inside the restaurant? Hard pass.

This is one of the best Mexican Restaurants in the entire DMV. The atmosphere is amazing, the food is just incredible, and most importantly the staff is very attentive but especially the Bartender Johnny who has made my many experiences at this restaurant Memorable and Hard to match. He provides great service, great laughs, and even better drinks. He knows his stuff and his recommendations are always spot on. He is one of my biggest draws to come to the restaurant and more importantly there Dance nights. He works hard, loves the restaurant, and lives for the people and service he provides. 10/5 stars recommend the restaurant. 20/5 stars recommend Johnny

Went to global food around lunch time and saw this place and decided to pop in. I’m so glad I did. I met an awesome bartender named Diego. He was super nice and even gave great recommendations of other Spanish restaurants to try. The tacos here are really great. I will definitely be back!

We had such a good time! Staff were friendly, margarita was amazing and food was scrumptious. I especially enjoyed the shrimp taco. It was so flavorful with just the right amount of spiciness. They have a nice outdoor seating with plenty of heaters.

Absolutely delicious! I live in NYC and came to visit my mom in Alexandria, VA where she said we had to go to Picoso for the best Mexican food! Generous portions, authentic tortillas and the best salsa bar!

Really good carne asada and lengua tacos. The wings Mexico City-style were delicious and the citrus sour cream dip for them was fantastic. Tacos are pricey, tho. $5.00 a piece. Where I’m from, they are 1.50- 2.25 max but this is a bigger city so it must be average for this area. You order food at one counter and order beer and drinks at another. Salsa bar is off in the corner and you get your own salsa and onion, cilantro, etc. Would definitely eat here again. They also have a patio where you can take your meal outside, if you want.
