Taqueria Sabor Mixteca was our first dinner after getting back from 24 hours of plane travel and dealing with jetlag. Like I said, we were really jetlagged so from what I remember, the food was pretty good and prices were reasonable. We ordered two campechano tacos, an Al pastor burrito, chips and guac, and a quesabirria. The quesabirria consommé was great and I’m happy they had it available because a lot of Mexican places don’t have it. But it seems like it’s becoming more and more popular nowadays. The only thing I wish they had on the menu was soup but other than that, I’d definitely want to order again and try their other menu items.

Very small portions for the price. I’d say almost half of each taco is tortilla. Part of our order was the shrimp taco, and it came with ONLY TWO pieces of shrimp and some flakes of onions. No cilantro.

THE WORST! DONT ORDER FROM HERE! I made a grub hub ordered and the restaurant cancelled my order 1.5hr later telling grub hub that they didn’t have tacos or quesadillas in stock. Weird because it’s a Mexican restaurant. I then called the restaurant directly because I didn’t make sense that a Mexican restaurant ran out of tacos and quesadillas. The girl on the phone was extremely rude! She informed me that a previous order made weeks ago by someone else in our office had been cancelled abruptly and they didn’t receive credit for the food that never arrived due to their lack of time. I wasn’t even a part of that order and yet I suffered the consequence when I had just simply attempted to make an order. It’s extremely unprofessional on their part. My order was $50 and they cancelled for a reason I was not involved in. I have never heard of a restaurant denying business to someone because of someone else that just so happens to work in the same building I work in. I will never ever order from here again and I will highly suggest the same for everyone else. There are so many other Mexican restaurants with much better service and much better food.

This was my first time trying this place, I have to say it wasn’t terrible but I just didn’t like the taste of it. I got 4 chicken tacos and a chicken empanada. The tacos were okay I’ve had wayyyy better. The empanada was disgusting honestly, there was chicken cheese and jalapeños in it and I think it was a weird combination if there was just chicken alone in it, it would’ve been fine. I won’t be ordering from here again. I guess this place saw my negative review and they called me one hour after my food was delivered and said they were outside with my food. I said my food was delivered an hour ago what do you mean and he repeated it again and hung up. That was honestly unnecessary for them to call and say that they were outside with my food after it was already delivered. This place is a joke.

Ordered some food from here through GrubHub, and nearly an hour later (around when the food was supposed to be delivered) I got a call from them saying they don’t deliver to my address. When I asked why they waited an entire hour after accepting my order, they claimed they didn’t open until 11, which is not what they’ve listed on Google. Only order from here if you’re not that hungry and you’re prepared for them to decide they don’t feel like delivering to you today!
