I ordered a super burrito and a side of rice and beans. The rice and beans were cold and not the best, not that big of a deal. The burrito on the other hand was absolutely disgusting. I enjoy their mendudo. It has large peices of tripe appropriate to the amount of granitos. Their Asad fries are always popular and their tacos and burritos do not dissatisfy. They need to upgrade or do something about the restroom. The services is quick. Avoid going here to late at night, unfavorables are regulars after midnight and by that I do mean the drunkards.

Growing up in Modesto, San Jose Taqueria was a place my family and I cherished. I moved away 17 years ago but have had a few opportunities to come back. I’m so happy that after all these years, San Jose has not changed. The flavors, the menu, the hospitality- is as amazing now as it was when I was a 10 year old little girl. I brought my kids in this time. They loved it! It definitely brings back memories while I’m able to create new ones with my kids. Maybe one day they’ll come visit on their own to enjoy the delicious food at San Jose. Absolutely the best!

My favorite guilty pleasure is the camarón ala diabla burrito (with no rice.) It’s spicy and cheesy and add some pickled onions. Today my order was wrong and I realized this was the first time I’ve had to call in about it in the 8 years I’ve been eating here. They are super reliable and well worth driving out of my way to eat here!

This used to be my very favorite place to eat probably still could be but when I ordered the quesadilla for the 1st time and I’ve been eating here every since the restaurant opened it was not what I expected I should have stuck to my burrito my tamales or something else it tasted good but there was hardly no meat on it and the sauce was just thrown on top and it was not even cut into pieces I couldn’t went to the taco truck and got this disappointed
