02/07/2023 update! Went for lunch and here is what has changed…..no tea (sweet or unsweet) pop from fridge was not cold at all, CASH ONLY, no substitutions (if you order four tacos they all have to be exactly the same) and price has increased dramatically from our last visit. I ordered shrimp tacos again and what they brought was a tortilla shell with four pieces of shrimp. No flavor unless you add sauce. Disappointed but then again I have not seen very many cars there lately. Taking this one off our lunch choice list, sad.

My tongue street taco was piping hot and arrived with a little container of chopped onions and cilantro (which I think was hideous, but that’s just my opinion, lol) and a nice fresh wedge of lime. It came with the caramelized onions as requested, on the side, but in the same wrapper as the tongue taco. The tongue was in little squares and was so incredibly tender and flavorful. I don’t know that the onions were actually caramelized, but they were very well grilled and pretty perfect.

We were told this was an excellent restaurant. Husband and I arrived at 5:15pm, to an empty restaurant except for an older gentleman and his granddaughter. Waited a bit to get waited on. Then another couple came in, were immediately waited on. There was a horrid smell. I went to wash my hands, toilet leaking on the floor. The couple that came in after us received their food quite some time before us. When we finally got our food, I asked the young man about chips and salsa and a to whether they were separate from the meal. He replied no, that typically you get them but he was too busy. What???

They messed up my order and brought my tacos out with nothing on them but it was an honest mistake and we got it straightened out also no complimentary chips and salsa other than that it was very authentic and seems like a family-owned place I will be coming back and eating here again Will update my review at that time.
