Today has to have been an off day for this location. My roommate and I went into the restaurant at 2, every table was filthy and the hostess couldn’t find a clean table to sit us. That’s okay it’s busy we get it we’re both servers. We wait for a clean table and our server who was also the bartender came fast took our order and gave us drinks. Very great. That’s all the positive I can say about this trip. The food took almost an hour to arrive at our table. Our server/bartender did not come back to the table one time to explain the wait or even give us drink refills which sat empty for 30+ minutes. The food that came out was cold and had been sitting for a while and looked absolutely horrendous. I would not serve anyone that food being a server. The person who brought us our food was very rude and threw the food down and walked away without asking if we needed anything else. Our server then took forever to even leave the bar as he appeared swamped with drinks to be made and customers. I guess the bar guest were his first priority and we were not. I will definitely not be back to this location. If the bartender can’t handle the bar he definitely should not have tables in addition. A picture of my food is attached!

We finally decided to try out the downtown location for this awesome fusion of Mexican and Asian food! We both got a bunch of different types of tasty tacos and a mixed drink as well which was great. Tables were sticky and servers weren’t the most attentive though. Overall, a great place to eat downtown!

The idea of fusion Mexican food was a little hard to accept at first. I love Korean food but I also love Mexican food, and anyone who knows me will tell you that I love me a good taco. So short rib tacos didn’t exactly make me excited. However, this meal was freaking great – the sweetness of the short rib, balanced with the sweet BBQ sauce and the vinegary/slightly spicy, slaw and all held together a warm tortilla.

Food was great. However, the place needed to be cleaned and dusted so bad. Tables/Chairs/Walls we’re sticky and dusty. Our server was obviously having personal troubles, and seemed to be preoccupied with other things. Though, I’ve only been once, so I can’t speak to any other employees. I’d likely go back, because the food was great and the selection was extensive.

Taqueria Tsunami has a modern and artistic interior vibe and was matched well with the great service and food. The bartender was very nice and provided some honest (and delicious) recommendations. They had a wide variety of drink options, good appetizers and a dozen tacos to choose from amongst other food choices. A great choice if you are in Athens and want something reminiscent of Mexican but with an Asian twist.

We came on a very busy night, yet the wait time was nominal. The service was outstanding. From the front desk, to our server, and even those bussing the tables… Everyone was friendly and served with excellence. Now to the food .. I am a little bit peculiar when it comes to tacos… But let me tell you, the tacos were outstanding. The virgin cherry limeade really capped off the meal

Food and service were wonderful. However the cleanliness of the restaurant is lacking. The toilets looked as if they had not been cleaned in weeks, there is a thick layer of dust on the brown partitions, and the floor looks like it has not been swept or mopped in days. Made me feel uncomfortable eating in the restaurant and makes me question the cleanliness of the kitchen.
