Birra tacos were delicious! This was on my list for DC, and since I was in the area, I had to hit them up. I was really happy to see they opened a restaurant since I’ve seen so many reviews during the pandemic. I tried all the birria tacos and they were really delicious….but the guacamole..Bangerang! They don’t have any seating but there are plenty of parks around to post up and enjoy.

Very disappointed with The takeout order. The tacos were not worth the hype. Birria lamb taco wasn’t fried, and they did not use corn tortillas even after requesting it specifically. We asked for one order of Birra for eating now and the platter for eating later, but we got all tacos pre-made, which was supposed to be a platter eaten later.

Taqueria Xochi always hits the spot. When ordering, you’re given the option of whether you’re going to eat right away or later, which is basically their way of offering to pre-assemble your food or leave it separate so you can do it yourself. Unless you have a long commute, I’d recommend just saying you’re going to eat right away. Even traveling for 15-20 minutes has been fine for us. There are two windows – one to order and one to pick-up, so make sure you go to the right one. If you order online, in theory, you are supposed to receive a text when your order is ready, but we have never actually received that text. In terms of recommendations about what to order, I suggest: Chips and Guacamole, Beef Quesabirrias, Carnitas Tacos, Al Pastor Tacos, Tacos de Canasta, Morita Salsa, and Tres Leches.

Stopped by here after a show at the 930 Club. Completely underwhelming tacos. I tried the Al Pastor and they were so bland and flavorless that the salsa couldn’t event save it. There have to be good tacos in DC but I’ve yet to find anything notable.

Was looking forward to trying this place for a while, I normally don’t leave reviews but I must because it’s over hyped. Unless I went on a bad day, I tried the Lengua tacos and they tasted as if it was just boiled and not seasoned at all. The Asada were a extreme disappointment literally was covered with salted onions and the taco literally had 3 or 4 pieces of carne. There Lamb birria was okay but def not worth the money. So if you’re in town make sure to start small as they don’t let you buy tacos individually or mix and match. Bought a total of 12 tacos and lamb birria tacos, 4 drinks and a chocoflan and spent well over 100$.

My god these tacos are amazing and the Birria tacos that you dip in a gravy/juice are to die for! They are juicy, full of flavor, not too salty, and stuffed. These tacos are an ultimate stop in DC to satisfy those taste buds!!!
