I’ve been here in the past when under old management, not the best. However, the new management has really stepped this place up to another level! The plates are delicious. Love the tacos Al carbon, elote, pozole, and I always get the limited time/seasonal items that never disappoint. And the DRINKS!! Not only fun and Instagram-worthy, but soooo delicious. I have to be careful I have a driver when I come here now because they always have new drinks I want to try!! Great Job, Arandas Pasadena!!

Let’s get past the fact that they can’t decide if they want to be a nightclub or a restaurant. If you can hear the person in front of you talking, I’ll buy your first margarita. Arandas was never my first choice, but they’re more convenient than some of the other Taquerias around me. And if this was the first time that they had completely gotten my order wrong, I wouldn’t be writing this review. But as the saying goes, fool me once, shame on me, fool me half a dozen times, what are you even doing! To add insult to injury, when I brought up their mistake, I was greeted with attitude and eye rolls. Not from one server, but all three that I had to talk to, just to get my order corrected. Did I mention that during the whole process, no one, not anyone even said, “I’m sorry.” It looks like I’ve learned my lesson and will not be allowing myself to be disappointed in Taqueria Arandas for a while. We’re breaking up Arandas, and yeah, it’s you, not me.

The place was almost empty, basically dead inside, and yet waiting for service took a long time, like refills or for the waitress to come back and ask if we are ready to order. That being said, they need to hire more waiters/waitresses.

Overall, pretty good as everyone enjoyed what they ordered. If I was picky these are the things I didn’t like: chips-I like thin ones and theirs are super thick; queso-I like mine thinner and theirs was really thick (I had to thin it out with salsa; speaking of salsa- I like mine served warm, theirs was cold although it did have a great flavor. Staff was great and the DJ was a cool added benefit…and the $5 mango marrgarita was fantastic!

I’ve been going to Arandas since it opened, and I’ve seen this place grow since new management took over. I like the treatment and the environment, just like in Mexico, I like that they treat everyone with love and respect. I like the taste of my Mexico in every plate they serve. I love that there’s days when you can go with the family and also days you can go have some drinks and enjoy a good Astros game with food and live music, and let’s not forget that they have the best prices on drinks like their famous margaritas !! Arandas is that place i will always remain loyal to.
