My bf and I come to Saratoga at least once a year and this place is always a priority stop for us. Typically we get the mini donuts which are absolutely fantastic and I love that there are always different flavors when we come, our go-to favorite is the fruity pebbles flavor, but we haven’t had a flavor we didn’t enjoy. On our last trip we went on their birria Wednesday and they were definitely one of the top birria tacos I have had! I will say the meat and consomme could benefit from some extra seasonings but nonetheless I would get them again! The staff is always very friendly and helpful! Can’t wait for our next visit!!

Definitely know how to be pleasant to their first time customer compared to other bad restaurants I’ve been to with terrible attitude on their face and would never return to those restaurants. Nice when you talk to a nice person behind the counter and makes a difference. Super quick food prep on Sunday afternoon. Three street taco special and freshly fried mini doughnuts are always a must! Super delicious, had Barbacoa (seasoned beef) and Carne asada (steak). Very authentic street tacos, as I am from the states, near Guadalajara, Mexico. I had the cinnamon and sugar mini doughnuts that come in an order of 6. Also, I have had the maple bacon ones, which are also super yummy!

The timing finally came together this week and I was in Saratoga on a beautiful Wednesday afternoon to try the birria tacos offered as a weekly special at Taquero. Paired with my favorite drink, a Jarrito Mandarin, this was the perfect light dinner after a long day (along with the banana cream pie donuts that came for a later snack).
