Delicious food & lovely atmosphere. You can dine outside or in. We were there for lunch & so we ordered the Cobb Salad, Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad & the Joyce Chicken Sandwich. Their Tiramsu was amazing!!! Attentive & friendly staff! Definitely going back!

Great atmosphere, good food! The food was very good, but the portions could have been bigger for the price. Overall a great place.

My family and I have gone here for years since it opened. We’ve never had a bad experience or something we didn’t like. I especially recommend the Yukon gold gnocchi and the short ribs.

Came here on a friend’s recommendation that has visited this place a couple of times before. Wait was a little long, staff was friendly. Started with the calamari that was perfectly cooked and very tasty. Entree was the beef short rib that was fall apart and just perfect. Overall the meal was great and will definitely be back when in the area!

Friendly service and absolutely delicious meal. Stopped in for lunch while on a long road trip but I’d happily do it again! It took some time for the food to come out but it was well worth the wait!

The Tarry Tevern is consistently one of the best restaurants in Westchester, and the absolute best restaurant in Tarrytown. This family-owned restaurant has the best seafood this side of Montauk, with excellent service. Their salmon, scallops, swordfish & shrimp are among the best I’ve ever had, anywhere. And their prices are quite fair and the portions generous. Can’t recommend this lovely Tarrytown institution enough. Lunch is amazing, too!

We stopped here for lunch after a hike at Bear Mountain. A bit pricey for what we got, but hey it’s Westchester. The burger was decent, and I liked my Cobb salad, which I substituted goat cheese for blue cheese and they were happy to oblige. The mussels and the stuffed calamari were also tasty. I would come here again for a dinner, some of the main dishes looked really great.

I stopped by here with my Dad for a quick breakfast. It was completely empty and we were helped as soon as we walked in. Although it was pretty small, it was a comfortable environment. I ordered a turkey bacon, egg and cheese sandwich and it came with a side of fries/chips. The bread that was used for this sandwich was spectacular, it was the perfect combination of softness and crispness. The side of fries/chips were delicious and I am almost positive they were homemade. Overall, this was a pleasant restaurant with above average food in a quaint town.

Food arrived cold after waiting 40 minutes. Had zero taste and the waiter was not very efficient. This review is not about fish. If this is how you talk to your customers you should really look for jobs elsewhere.

My friend and I frequent Tarry Tavern often. Tonight we sat down for about 10min. and asked for dessert menus. We were ready to order when the hostess came over and told us they were only doing dinner service and basically had us get up and leave. Needless to say we were embarrassed, but more so disappointed.
