This is clearly a popular place. It was full and very busy. We waited about 15 minutes until we eventually flagged someone down to get us our menus and drinks. Once we ordered, the food came out reasonably quickly. The presentation is lovely and the food is well prepared, but not as complex as we were hoping; both of our dishes lacked flavor and depth. Nonetheless we left satisfied. The atmosphere is lovely. It doesn’t feel like you’re in the busy city and it gave us the chance to sit and chat.

A charming bistro where you can bring your bottle of wine and taste the French/American cuisine. Very atmospheric place, the feeling that the owners themselves are a bartender and a waiter, because the service is so great!

This is THE West Village experience in a restaurant. Perched on a corner, overlooking gorgeous ivy covered brick buildings, no other restaurant in sight and under towering trees. This quiet, neighborhood spot has delicious food and superb classy service.

Such a cute brunch place. BYO is nice too. Food is always delicious and done with care. I got the corned beef breakfast hash. The hash was meaty and satisfying. Staff is very friendly. Really a treasure.

Lovely corner for lunch/brunch outside, especially on a weekday when it’s less crowded if you can swing it. Food is pretty average, lacking a little flair or flavor in the dishes we tried, but service is great and you couldn’t ask for a better location/surroundings. BYO or purchase drinks there.

I had a late brunch here on Saturday and while there was a line, it moved quickly. The restaurant is small, crowded, and noisy but not any more than any other Greenwich Village eatery on a weekend. The service is quick and friendly and the foid arrived at our table very quickly considering how budy they were. I had the Corned Beef Hash, which was served in a small cast iron skillet with two poached eggs on top. It was far and away the best Corned Beef Hash I have ever tasted. The coffee is also worth noting in that it was just right. Not bitter or burned. Tartine has been a Village staple for many many years and after finally braving the ever present line, I understand why. An excellent choice. Highly recommended.

Nice French spot in the West Village. One of my favorite places to eat in the village. It’s like you’re in a little cafè in France. I love their sautéed chicken or the beef mignonette. Their fries always comes out great and it comes also with some salad which is nice. Great service and friendly staff. Highly recommend this place if you’re in the village looking for a nice spot to eat.

a cute, small, and highly photographable — albeit pricey — brunch spot in nyc’s west village. it’s a popular spot and they don’t take reservations or seat incomplete parties, so be prepared go wait outside in line for awhile for a spot.

Well, the service was always kind of bad. You would think that they would hire seasoned waiters, but these people can’t handle a 10 top. You could wait on something for a very long time and they never come back to check on your table. You’d actually have to get up and ask a server to help you. The last time I ate here was about 5 years ago.
