If I could rate this location with no stars, I would. This chicken was heavily salted, while the rice was extremely crunchy. The chicken fried rice contained large chunks of pale white meat, as if it had not been sautéed at all; it had no flavor whatsoever resembling that of a boiled chicken breast. Even worse was the pork fried rice. I’m sorry, but I must be completely frank: this food was not tasty at all.

Food is not very good here. Low quality. To much sauce on meals. Hot and sour soup was awful. Egg rolls were tiny. Not the best Chinese restaurant in the area.

We have been eating at Taste of China for years. They have the best chicken teriyaki and fried rice, pork or chicken! Always friendly service. Hot and ready! We’ve had a variety of dishes and have always been pleased!

Our regular place was closed. Worst food ever. $70 worth of nothing. Egg rolls – 2 bites. General tsos was gravy, brown gravy no one would eat it. Sweet and sour chicken- tastes just like a McDonalds nugget. Crab rangoon was not crab and cream cheese, it is spinach! Hunan chicken is all cabbage! It’s a shame these ppl think this is chinese food! Save your money and go get real Chinese food. If I could give 0 stars I would.

TOC is our go-to for authentic Chinese food in the 757. The food is delicious, affordable, ready on time, and most importantly, the customer service is amazing! The owners are so friendly and always treat us like family.

Taste of China has the best Chinese food in Great Bridge – probably in Chesapeake. It’s always just right, not overcooked, not greasy, balanced, delicious. Their lo mein is probably the best of any takeout place I’ve ever been. And the owners are so friendly and have been here forever. Highly recommended!

I love this place. I always get their lunch special of chicken w/ broccoli and white rice. Huge portions! I literally eat half for lunch and the other half for dinner. So I pay 7 dollars for a lunch and dinner. You can’t beat that. They are super friendly, and fast service. I love this place and recommend them always. They also have great dumplings and sweet and sour chicken.

Wish I could take away the 1 star given. I don’t normally write reviews but after spending almost $40 to feed 3 people, had to be done. Decided to try somewhere new instead of Peking. Chose Taste of China because the rating was a little higher. Never again! The first thing you notice is the smell of burnt oil through your mask. Ordered Sweet and Sour Chicken, sauce didn’t taste right, something super artificial about it or it was going bad. Something funky about it. White rice smelled and tasted burnt. Chicken Lo Mein had no flavor, chicken was mushy and didn’t seem cooked correctly. Husband had the General Tso chicken, meat was overcooked and the egg roll was “gross”. Almost all of this food not edible. Back to Peking!

Our first & last time ordering from here. Over $30 wasted! My 12 yr. old nephew loves General Tso’s & after two bites he was done. I got Szechuan Shrimp, the sauce was horrible. It had more cabbage than anything. The shrimp were tiny & from the taste, look & texture probably frozen. The white rice was good. And the egg rolls were decent. The crab rangoons were the worst. We love them but these had a taste we couldn’t place. Also, we’re always given a red sweet & sour sauce, but not here. Which really doesn’t matter if you can’t even eat the rangoons. Don’t waste your time or money.
