As a New Yorker, I have eaten Indian food all around town. So as I traveled to Columbus Ga, I needed to try something outside the box of dinning in Columbus. So I tried “Taste of India” with an open mind. This restaurant is 1000 miles from New York City, and I found totally kickers. I normally order the same thing from every Indian Restaurant and if there was Blind taste test, you could not pick out New York from Columbus (there did is that good). And to Add a twist, you can have spicy, mild and normal (are you listening NY). I ordered Chicken Tikka Masala, Vegetable Makhani, Channa Masala and Garlic Naan. The staff is friendly the Décor is so relaxing. I give them 10 stars, 5 stars is a disservice to this secret destination 1000 miles away…

Paneer is one of my favorite dishes. My boyfriend is from northern India so I consume it on a regular basis. Their Shahi Paneer is the BEST I’ve had anywhere!!! It’s fantastic severed hot, AND equally good as next day left overs. Whomever makes this gravy makes perfection! I’ve been eating it weekly, and it’s a struggle having to refrain from ordering it more.

My husband and I came here for dinner on recommendations from a coworker, who happens to be Indian. This place did not disappoint! Nice quiet restaurant on a Saturday night (@730pm) so we could hold a conversation. Everything we ordered tasted delicious and flavorful. I took photos to document what we ordered so could make recommendations to our friends. The prices are so wallet and family friendly ($1.99-$17.99). We ordered the assorted appetizer sampler, goat curry, chicken shahi korman, one dessert and 2 teas for under $50, with leftovers to take home. Will go back for the lunch buffet! If you’ve never had Indian food, give this place a try.

Second time ordering delivery and still perfect. The Keema samosas are SUPER recommended and the chicken Tikka masala is best if you order medium spice. My favorite is the lamb pasanda. Mine is always ultra spicy. The regular Naan is great but the bullet naan is also awesome, finally we got Kheer. The one I got was like a sweet potato casserole. Amazing.

Terrible. Their biryani is a joke. Forget basmati rice, its more like B grade rice mixed on top with some random curry with 3-4 tiny, sad pieces of chicken. They don’t even give lemon/onions which are supposed to be the heart of good biryani.

Had the chicken 65, butter chicken and garlic Nan. Everything was good but the chicken 65 was damn good & garlic Nan was my favorite. I would say it’s good place too check out for authentic Indian food.

Came here for the buffet. Was pleased with the assortment of curries and chutneys. I loved that they had three different rice dishes: plain basmati and both vegetable and chicken biryanies. The staff was very accommodating and kind. My only complaint is there was no baby changing table in the bathroom. But other than that, it was wonderful!!!!

Our dinner here tonight was fantastic. The spicy Lamb Vindaloo was everything I hoped for. They have a smaller wine selection but they had one of my favorites, Apothic Red, so that enhanced the experience even more. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who already enjoys Indian cuisine and for those that are willing to go out and try new adventures.
