Delicious! We got 2 Jerks and 1 Oxtail meal. The meals came with red beans and rice with a side of steamed cabbage. Take out only though.

On this trip I visited a Taste of Jamaica One of my favorite spots. The service here is always great. Very friendly and courteous staff. Even though my mission was to get some peas soup, I settled for a large curry goat and rice with peas. Washed it down with a cold Ting, jamaica’s famous grapefruit soda.

Amazing first experience. This was the Jerk chicken I had been waiting for. Juicy, tender, with the perfect amount of spice. Rice and beans, steamed cabbage, and plantains complimented the dish perfectly. This restaurant will now be a part of my family’s eating out rotation. Great food, great staff, comfortable atmosphere. It was pouring down rain, I tried to call in and let the lady (Caucasian) know that I’m directly in front of the establishment and she could utilize my card number because I was going to sit in the car anyways to wait on my order but she was too busy trying to drown out what I was saying by over talking so I just said never mind and chose a different Jamaican restaurant.

The flavors really come out in the dishes I tasted. I had the oxtail stew w/red beans and rice and cabbage, all were delicious. I also tried the curry shrimp, which was also very tastey! The flavors are very authentic, and remind me my visit to Jamaica. My only complaint is I like things a little spicey, but the two dishes I tried, though not spicy they were very well seasoned!

Update: the store opened 10 minutes late, but the food was worth it in my opinion. Originally I rated 3 stars due to their late opening, and 10 minutes can make or break a lunch for people at work.

I recently moved to Ohio from Philly & was craving some Jamaican food. I decided to try this place out because they aren’t to far from my home. Upon arrival, there’s ample parking, it’s in a nice area and the facility appeared to clean/well kept. The prices were fair and actually less than what I anticipated spending. I bought a large oxtail for $18 w/ extra gravy for a $1 up charge. With that being said, the food was underwhelming in my opinion. The oxtails were tender, but the sauce was extremely salty . For a large, there wasn’t a good meat to rice ratio. The platter was almost all rice & peas. I didn’t particularly care for the cabbage either.

I truly love more after every meal I buy. They prepare your order pretty quickly and it’s usually cooked hot. For today’s lunch I enjoyed jerk chicken with rice + beans and cabbage. My meal was delish per usual. Good customer service from the cashier as well.

This is my favorite Jamaican Restaurant in Cleveland! I been there enough the main girl knows my order. I should ask her name but they be moving. Be prepared to wait 10-15 mins. The food is worth the wait and definitely keeps me going back!
