Not going to lie, I’ve been reluctant to try this place because I have a pretty wimpy palate when it comes to spicy hot food. Man, I’ve been missing out. I ordered the jerk chicken which is definitely spicy and moderately hot, but also packed with flavor and cooked to juicy perfection. I also got to try the curried goat, which seemed milder and so tender and flavorful. The beans and rice were not what I was expecting (more like a dirty rice or rice dressing with beans), but really yummy. The steamed cabbage was also a big hit. The prices are very fair for the large portion size. We’ll definitely be ordering again and trying some of the other offerings now that I’m sure my mouth won’t be blistered.

The plantains were very oily and I couldn’t eat them. I asked for extra sauce on the oxtails because I read the reviews and it was still very dry. The jerk chicken was okay.

Ordered the oxtail Mac and cheese and yams with a beef pattie. The woman who service me was great however I’m a little disappointed in the food. Only receive 4 oxtail for $22 is a little steep. The rice and beans were dry with no gravy from the oxtail added the oxtail itself was a little tough to eat the Mac and cheese had no flavor just cheesy the yams were ok with a sweet taste. This was my first time going there. Maybe a different meal will change my mind about this establishment. But based of this one. It’s a no for me.

We went here tonight wow what a great place to eat I had the ox tail with red beans and rice , wife had curry chicken with the same and the kids had dark jerk chicken. The food has some spice but they can cool it down if you ask. I would recommend this place to anyone amazing just amazing.

My first time at Taste of Jamaica and I had the white jerk lunch with cabbage and plantains. The chicken was seasoned perfectly and packed with so much flavor. Also I never knew that cabbage can taste this good! The plantains were sweet and tender. I’ll definitely be coming back to try more of their menu!

Been thinking about trying this place for awhile. I don’t know what I waited for. Jerk chicken and wings were amazing with a manageable heat and extra jerk seasoning if you like it warmer(I was mopping my chicken in it). Didn’t get mac and cheese I ordered, but everything else was so good, they still get 5⭐️’s… Candied yams, fried plantains, red beans and rice, all amazing… Can’t say enough, will be back!!! Update—> 2nd time was just as good or better, and mac and herself is worth the wait!

Excellent taste of authentic Jamaican cuisine right here in Indiana. A carribean gem featuring classics like Jamaican beef patty, jerk chicken, curry dishes, and snapper. Family owned and great genuine customer service. A place where you catch a vibe and leave with great food in great portions and packaged well to go. Pictured is the Saturday soup special bringing warmness to the belly . Definitely worth a try!

Such good jerk chicken. Flavor, texture, and spice was perfection. Service and atmosphere was of the “Take your food and get out” variety. But I can’t wait to go back and if they flogged me while I waited I’d happily take it.

Ordered the dark jerk lunch special. Cannot believe how yummy everything was. I got plantain and yam for my sides. All were unbelievably delicious. Can tell this place cooks with heart. Will definitely be back to try more!
