Presently surprised! I had bowl of gumbo, added shrimp and an appetizer of fried green beans. Everything was really good. Prices were a little high, but after getting the bowl of gumbo and not being able to finish it I can’t complain.

We ordered online. It said it would take 20 minutes for the order to be made. Ordered at 11:45am arrived at 12:15pm. Order was not ready. Finally at 12:25 pm they brought our to go order and set it on the counter. Now while I was at the counter waiting on my order, an employee at the register checked out 4 people while I was standing there. Than when she was done with those customers she walked away while my order sat there. Than when they came back up to the counter, I said something about my order. I asked them to please get my order so I could leave. The response was, we are trying, we are trying. Our order was sitting there till 12:37pm. Spent $60.00 on the order and was very dissatisfied when we got home. The kids meal was $6 alone. Had 3 little pieces of chicken and a few fries, it should have at least come with a drink for this price. The shrimp and grits were ok and the shrimp and fry plate came with slaw. The slaw was not cold but very warm. The appitizer was fried green beans and they were okay. No dips for the green beans and no plastic silverware and no napkins included. We may try one more time but found another restaurant in Harvest, Alabama that is similar that we will go try…the best bet for this to work for y’all is to train your people for customer service and to work together. A team is required. There is no I in team.

We ordered the deep fried aligator tails as an appetizer that took a while to come out they were good the sauce and coleslaw that came with it were great until I found the longest hair (i was definitely grossed out). Our food took fooorever to come out but perhaps because it was a busy night once our food came out though it was good but nothing special. I had the shrimp Creole and my husband had the Shrimp Etouffee. The shrimp was good but it basically tasted like shrimp in spaghetti sauce. And my husband’s tasted like a Campbell soup. overall they were a great portion and were good but nothing special imo.

The drink and pickles were good and tha hubby like tha poboy. But them shrimp n grits was horrible.. I was impressed by they Facebook posts but I was deceived. A 40 min drive for nothing ♀️ Sorry and I when I posted I ate here. I had 32 comments saying almost tha same thing

Oh my goodness. This should be named a Taste of Heaven! I had the Cajun burger. It is to die for. Ate almost half and was stuffed. The fried pickles appetizer were the best I have ever had.

We’ve eaten here a few times, and the service is usually mediocre at best. Wait times for food averages 30-45 minutes or more. Wife and I finally got out last Saturday and ordered the fried green beans (highly recommend) and the 13 oz ribeye x 2. When the steak finally arrived, it was maybe a 7 oz steak, very thin and LOADED with fat. Cassidy, our server had to go back and retrieve a steak knife, so we watched our steak get colder for 4 minutes before she brought the knife. I normally don’t send food back because who knows what will return, but I will speak my mind with a mgr afterwards. I prefer to support local if possible, but when the owner isn’t there, it’s just not the same. We will not be returning.

I will have to go back to give another, more fair rating. We went for the first time and service was extremely slow. We waited about 15-20 minutes for a seat while the table we got sat at just needed wiped down the whole time. Nobody really acknowledged us during that time. The waiter we got was the kitchen manager and did a great job! He was very friendly and done a great job waiting on us, and is part of the reason we will be back. The food was actually really good as well. We spent probably 2 hours from the time we walked in the door til the time we walked out, mainly spent waiting to be seated and also waiting to receive our food.
