Well, I thought I had found my perfect Jamaican food in Toronto last month – my bad! Here I thought I had to drive almost 300 miles for the best patties to be found. Nope, I was wrong! I just found them in my backyard, right here at Taste the Caribbean! The only thing missing at the Taste of Caribbean is the icy-cold Red Stripe beer – but…for the quality of the food, the genuine friendliness of the owners, and the price, I can do without the Red Stripe!

Swung into this place just driving through Beaver Falls. The first thing that you notice is how clean and fresh the place is. The woman and young man at the counter were super nice. I assume by their interaction they were family, mother and son maybe even sister and brother. Great menu. Not overwhelming with something for everyone, whether it’s your first time eating Caribbean or your straight from the islands. We got beef patties, curry chicken, and jerk chicken. The food was fantastic. Everything was very fresh and flavorful. The curry and jerk chicken meals had to weigh about 3lbs each. Curry chicken came with white rice and cabbage. I chose rice and beans with the jerk chicken, which also came with cabbage. There was plenty of curry seasoning to flavor the white rice. This is going to be another regular stop. The only negative is they are cash only but they do most of the major delivery services.

It’s a wonderful little family-owned business. Excellent food and the owners were extremely friendly and pleasant. The oxtail was extremely tender and full of flavor. Same goes for the curry chicken and a jerk chicken. Just watch out for the bones because it’s butchered in the traditional way. But that’s where a lot of the flavor comes from and I wouldn’t change a thing. The beef patties were delicious as well. I’m looking forward to the leftovers.

This fantastic little Caribbean eatery turned a cold gloomy afternoon into paradise! Bright, clean, friendly, and warm with a heavenly smell of homemade food, cd music of steel drums. Large portions so fresh and tasty. We had the Jerk Chicken lunch special with Mac & cheese. We also ordered a side salad and a plate of dumplings, which is fried dough with a slight sweet taste. We had so much food! All hot and delicious! Best jerk chicken since having the real thing in Bermuda! Juicy tender and flavorful! Best meal we’ve had at a restaurant in a long while! We hope they do well and we will certainly support them and spread the word! Next time we plan to try the Ox tail and other items!

In Beaver Falls, Taste the Caribbean has no rival. Their meats are tender and flavorful, just the right spice for even children, except the jerk chicken. Their mac and cheese is home recipe as is all their dishes. Seating indoors is clean and fresh with reggae in the air. We loved it and brought some home to share.

Wow!!!!! I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars!!!!! Absolutely delicious. I ate here for the first time today and have 0 complaints. My boyfriend got the oxtail meal and a side of Mac & cheese I got curry chicken and a side of plantains! It was exactly what we wanted plus some!!!! Not to mention the lady working the register is literally so kind and professional. Great food, great service, great people!!!!!! 100000000% will be back!
