I’d been wanting to try food from your establishment for quite some time. I decided on yesterday to give it a try. I must admit, I am highly dissatisfied with the quality of the food I received. The best part of my meal was the collards. I ordered the jerk chicken with macaroni and cheese, collards, and the chicken eggroll. Below is what I received. The Macaroni and cheese was clearly either overcooked or old. The jerk chicken, though the sauce was flavorful, was overcooked. I ended up only eating the collard greens and the eggroll and disposing the rest. I am highly disappointed.

Trash!! ️ I mean, I literally threw this food in the trash (watch video). The macaroni and cheese was stuck together too cheesy and cold. The collard greens were too spicy and the chicken was old barbecue chicken turned into jerk. Cost $16

The food here is disgusting. Very dry and chewy chicken that tasted like it was microwaved from earlier in the day. No peppers in my pepper steak. Pictures on site are stolen and differ from what’s being offered. No taste on the side dishes. Fake Jamaican food. Please steer away from this place. I beg you.

Food is great I had the Philly cheesesteak egg rolls which was shrimp and crab meat Mac and cheese was really good made like granny used to make it BBQ chicken was cooked well and well sauced collard greens were seasoned well and the Cajun cod bites were excellent definitely coming back to this place

I contacted this local eatery to cater my anniversary party and I must say it was a pleasure working with them! They were highly professional, stayed in constant communication, and accomadated changes to the menu with no hassle! The day of the event the food arrived Fresh, Hot and on time! My family and friends are still commenting on how good the Jerk chicken was! I will definitely use this catering business again! Keep up the great work!

I ordered the fried bbq bites, cabbage & rice and banana pudding for lunch yesterday. My bbq bites didn’t look anything like the pic on the menu, it was some type of red sauce on them not bbq sauce. The rice was dry & the cabbage tasted spoiled. I dnt know if it was the after taste from that sauce that made the cabbage taste bad but I couldn’t eat it it ruined my lunch break.I tried calling the restaurant but no answer. Took it home to my kids but they wouldn’t even eat it. I had to give it to my dog this morning because I hate wasting food

I came for the barbecue chicken, baked macaroni and collard greens, the food was DELICIOUS with the perfect amount of seasonings added in the greens, the chicken was the right amount of crispiness, reminds me of family dinners my mother used to cook when I was growing up. I highly suggest anyone that live in the Norfolk/Virginia Beach area to visit and show Mahogany and the staff some love and try their delicious Carribbean and American soul food. Well worth the money spent and def will be stopping by whenever I am in town!

This was my first and last time eating at this place. I ordered chicken and Mac and cheese collard greens, The chicken was fried very hard the taste was burnt the chicken had so many feathers why all the feathers the greens was dry with so much sugar and vinegar, just horrible, Mac and cheese was bland, I tried calling the restaurant no one would answer,I would like to know why would you let food leave your restaurant like that?
