Tremendous Tristan!
Bless up the chef! This is a small authentic Jamaicans mom & pops shop. They give you that home cooked feeling. Made with love!

Rice and peas tasted thawed and reheated, stewed cabbage was undercooked and no seasoning. Saltfish n ackee was good. Feel proper robbed @ 27.00 for 1 dish. 3/4 of dish was rice and peas…..

This is my 2nd time going here so my review is an overall experience. When I first went here, I ordered curry goat with rice and the drink, sorrel. The drink was excellent and good but the food…3 pieces of goat, a heaping amount of curry and idk where the rice went. And even though I didn’t order a large plate, I wasn’t expecting the small to be THAT small…2nd time, I decided to order sorrel and plantains.i got 4 pieces of cut plantains and it was put in a container that could hold 8 or 10. I’m sorely disappointed with this place. I’ve had Jamaican food before…the portions with this place are just heartbreaking for the amount of money I had to pay…

You just lost another customer. I ordered brown stew chicken and oxtails. I don’t know what this sauce is on the brown stew but I’ve never seen it like this. Its also mostly breast and everybody knows that breast does not stew well. The oxtails are full of fat and taste old. Paid extra for plantain, got one little piece of plantain. Lastly, got an old dry beef patty. I tried to share my concerns with the owner and he proceeds to tell me that I just want to complain because I don’t know what I’m talking about. Know this Mr. Tasty Island, I have been there many times and have referred MANY people to you, but NEVER again. You just lost a loyal customer and other potential customers. Thanks for showing your appreciation for my support in spite of the horrible attitude that is always displyed. If I could give 0 stars I would.

The worst food I have had in Vegas hands down. Overly priced old rice and the jerk chicken wasn’t it. There’s no way they are still in business the champagne kola was the best thing on the menu. The festival was stale and not sweet. I really feel like

Terrible.. The oaxtails weren’t oaxen…. It appears, as if they’ll take an oaxtail chop it in half and make two out of the one. Because it was so thin I decided to put them together and you can clearly see that appears to be exactly what they did. The taste isn’t good. I’m not being mean I’m being truthful. Wasn’t anything Jamaican, in my opinion about it. Now I understand why the pieces were so small!! Also the rice, and peas taste super processed. The cabbage, had 3 corn kernels in it. Whatever energy, or thoughts the person had while cooking this food. It went directly into the food. I suggest if you reading this to try it for yourself. And if you’ve had REAL Jamaican food. You won’t go back to tasty island.

In short, the food was tasty. I got the jerk chicken… a bit too spicy for jerk.. would be perfect for a spicy/hot chicken offering. I ordered a chicken patty which was tasty!

Good food. The oxtail is the best dish in the house. Big portions so you don’t leave hungry. Meat patty is also good. I need another Jamaican restaurant so I can say whether this is really great or not. I am still inexperienced in Jamaican cuisine. Friendly people.
