John and Duane became deeply involved with the neighborhood they call home. They began supporting local athletic teams and helping with high school fundraisers, among many other community outreach initiatives. In fact, there probably hasn’t been a graduate from Heights who hasn’t had our spaghetti! Todd proudly continued his dad’s tradition. He was proud to stay true to the original Tasty Pizza. In 2005, in an effort to always be providing a place that supports this wonderful community spirit, his wife Tawnya and Todd added Hangar 45 to Tasty Pizza. Hangar 45 is modeled after the passion for World War II aviation both Todd and his dad shared. In late 2022 Todd asked us 3 Clerkin Brothers (Sean, Joe and Brian) to preserve these traditions.

Got the Sassy D pizza. It is a classic square-cut family style pizzeria with generous, quality ingredients. It was just greasy enough for me to need a couple of paper towels, but not so greasy that I needed more towels. Normally I am a pig and eat entire portions in one sitting, but this pizza was made with such heartiness and TLC that I felt full after only half. A bit on the expensive side, but I did absolutely get the quality TLC that I paid for. Now I can see why this place has been around since the 60s!

Fun atmosphere and great service. We had the garlic mushrooms to start and they were SO gooood. Then we had the variety pizza and the taco pizza. The pizza was good, not great. The crust was really soggy. The sauce was good, old-school Minnesota style, thick and well seasoned. The toppings were plentiful. The taco pizza was kind of flavorless. We’ll go back because it’s a fun neighborhood place and the service was awesome but we’ll probably try the pasta next time.

Went back last night. First time in 3 years. Three years ago they change cheeses or something. It just wasn’t good. But last night, it tasted like pizza from the 60s. For sure will be back. PS: I left earlier that I wanted. But because those little kids screaming into the microphone, trying to do karaoke drove me out.

First time back in 8 years… sausage pepperoni pizza was superb with great ingredients, cut extremely inconsistently giving off great character and of course Tasty! The hellfire burger was not bad by anymeans it was smothered in jalapeños and bbq sauce on top of an extremely unseasoned plain jane burger patty. My wife of course had the chicken tendys … there’s no chance anyone can screw that up. Cute honky-tonk for the boomers.

I want to give the new owners a big shout out. Tasty has been our local bar restaurant for many years and I have to say they have continued the tradition with great food and are introducing new flavors and new menu items every month including bringing some Irish flare into the mix. Great hang out, great staff and very good food.

1st time ever going tried the fried mushrooms, garlic bread with cheese absolutely delicious. We also ordered a hamburger and pineapple pizza which was ok a beef stroganoff pizza which needed salt and pepper and was pretty tasty and a buffalo chicken pizza which was phenomenal!! Will definitely be back again
