Locally owned and operated. Full menu including Burgers, fries, PoBoy’s, Seafood and Plate Lunches ! arrived @ 2pm so I missed the lunch crowd BUT I Also MISSED the Daily Plate Lunch special ( my bad ). The owner TREATED me to a pineapple pistachio dessert while I was waiting for my Double meat Cheeseburger with fries. When it arrived ( fully dressed ) it was definitely MORE than I could eat. But it WAS quite delicious. The establishment is stuck in the middle of a strip business center that sits BACK FROM the state hwy BUT ON the State Hwy. two competitors are around the corner in opposite directions but OFF the MAIN Hwy through town. * A Strategically Place Billboard COULD HELP in attracting business because even I HAVE DRIVEN BY their establishment MANY TIMES, hungry and wanting something other than chicken. But was well past the business & closer to another WHEN the thought crossed my mind. To my knowledge, there ARE 11,000 cars that pass thru Summit every day… and TATERS IS the ONLY EATERY IN TOWN ~ ON HWY 51. SO LOOK as you get to the Driver’s License Office & you WILL see the sign.

I’m usually not lucky with random food choices. Today I was!!! The lady was so nice. The roast beef and fries were the best I’ve ever had and I’m picky. They brought us free dessert to try. Spoiled.

Ya’ll get there early for the daily lunch special, especiallyif Pistachio Pudding is the dessert – I kid you not! The day I went the special was Hamburger Steak w/Homemashed Potatoes and Gravy. (Yes I said “home mashed”.) Prices are reasonable with “tax included”, the folks are as they southern hospitality s’posed to be, and when you’re done you’re looking forward to returning again soon.

First time visit to MS stopped & had myself and excellent BLT, my husband & son had burgers made with generous hand formed patties. The food was made fresh and was so tasty! The only down side was we came late in the afternoon so they were sold out of fish & French fries but they had tater tots. We will stop again on our next trip to MS.

Pretty good little place to eat if you find it. Not too expensive and I like how all the prices on the menu include tax. Food tastes homemade and high quality, pretty good portion sizes. Small dining area, but you can also call in and get a to-go order.

Taters is always a good time! We always get greeted when we come in the door. The food has been good so far. It taste homeade like grandma makes. There aren’t the most places to sit in the world but it’s not usually a problem. I sometimes forget it’s there cause the location is unassuming. But when you get a taste for it you don’t forget!
