It’s been a while since I’ve eaten at Tate’s Pizza, food quality has declined a bit since the late ’90s early 2000’s. The chicken in the chicken fettuccine was fantastic however the fettuccine was soaked in oil, and the side of broccoli wasn’t probably cooked or seasoned. The server she was awesome she touched our table many times and kept our drinks filled including the sangria which was awesome.

Great spot with great food, and atmosphere. Great spot for Bubba Army, Football fans, Boxing fans, and race fans, and ex racers. If your luck you might meet some legendary players or racers. I love this place, ever time we are in Tampa we always go in there.

I eat here maybe 3/4 times a month. I own a small business and am principally responsible for sales to residential and commercial properties in south Tampa. I have had almost everything on the lunch menu and everything I have had has been wonderful. What prompted me to write this review was the lasagna I had yesterday was terrific. Tates is clean, the staff are warm and friendly, the lunch portions are generous and the prices are more than fair.

Love this laid back place. Casual enough that it doesn’t feel uptight but you can still do a date night and not feel cheep. Staff are friendly food is great and the prices are actually reasonable! There’s also a bar on one side with bar seayring as well as booth seating. On the other side is a larger seating area as well as a beautiful outdoor seating option when the weather permits. My fav meal is the wings and Greek salad. Kids love the baked pastas and the pizza is good as well.

My wife and I were visiting family in the area and this is their “place” they hang out and eat here all the time and they wanted to share it with is. What a fantastic place. Friendly staff and the food is phenomenal. Had a burger, wings, pizza, and steak sandwich on separate occasions. The steak was to die for, a truly unbelievable sandwich. The parmie bites are awesome. The whole place is without a doubt one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to. Will go back as soon as I get back to Florida!! 15 out of 10 would recommend.

Love this family owned local Pizza and Great Food restaurant! Nice bar and bar area inside with TV’s and booths, then the restaurant area inside with normal tables, then going tables, high tops, long tables for groups and covered areas and open.areas, right on the Spring Lake canal that runs under Westshore Blvd in Sunset Park…all creating nice environments. The food is ALL delicious and very reasonably priced. Ice cold beers, wine and full liquor. Parking and access is very easy. We like to go for lunch. Also, dinner, but their lunch menu is hard to beat. Some of our faves are the pizzas, all the salads, meatballs, the hot subs. Gyros. Pastas. Yum. Tate’s used to be on DI. It’s great to have Tate’s in.south Tsmpa’s Sunset Park, on S. Westshore Blvd.

Update 6/5/22 open until 9. Went there with friends visiting from out of town. Walked in at 8:13 and was met at door when we walked in and told “we are closed”. Just like that. But TV’S on in bar, door open, and cars in lot. Embarrassed as we now had to find somewhere else to take friends. Went from a monthly customer to excustomer. Wont be back.
